I not only daily, but use as a work truck. Wish I didn’t have to, and someday that will change. It’s my only vehicle with 4 wheels. On rare occasions when I don’t need many tools or stacks of lumber, then I get to ride one of my 4 motorcycles.

The top one is terrible. Please send it to me for disposal. I'll pay shipping. I would also black out the surround before shipping it to me.

I wanna see a close up of those inner fender pinch weld mods. Tires are so wide.

I have a beater I use for commuting. The Tundra usually sits under the pole barn with a cover over it.

I have been driving it to North Ga (300 miles round trip) one weekend a month since May though; the miles are racking up!!!

I drove mine daily from 2008 through 2015. Thats when I started hurling money into the fire and bought a VW GTI. I drove that on weekdays and the truck on weekends until covid changed life. Now I drive maybe 3x per week and rotate cars.

What’s wrong with using the Tundra as a work truck? Worried about getting it dinged up and dirty?

Mine was a work truck for 2 years, hardly got a ding in those years. Water heater did dent in my bed by the cab though.

I liked putting miles on my bottom of the line titan alot more than i do the tundra. Yea, it took a couple trips to get used to it, and a/c is nice, but i have to worry about it. I dont have to worry at all about the titan, jeep, or sequoia. Hit me, i dare you… but the tundra and the blazer are too nice to treat like that, they need to be protected. And thats not the self i want to put into houston traffic.

Decided to update my license plate lights. Was running diode dynamics HP5 led’s but the stocking housings and covers were looking rough after 15 years. Wanted something a little cleaner
I think some of y’all are running these Morimoto’s but for those of you that aren’t, They’re a pretty cool upgrade for less than $40.
    https://www.morimotohid.com/Toyota-Tacoma-05-15-XB-LED-License-Plate-Lights_2?quantity=1

they’re listed as fitting a tundra and Tacoma both. I had to do a small bit of modifying to get them on the truck. The red piece circled in the photo below required a bit of trimming.

I have too many vehicles to just drive the truck. The tundra gets driven when I need it. Or just want to drive it. Avalon covers daily duties and does WAY better on gas. Eventually the 2 tacomas will be rolling around again… and the 66 Mercedes I genuinely plan on using as a summer daily when it’s fixed up

that looks pretty good. What was the price if you don't mind. Also did you have much prep to do? Not sure I'm crazy about the color but I wouldn't mind doing mine with the new TRD Pro green

It actually looks like a different color in person. If decide to go with monstaliner, look at the chips in the sunlight lol. I changed colors like 6 times before landing on this one. A shop actually sprayed the truck for me. They did inside the door jambs, under the hood, behind the cab, the back of the bed, color matched my rear bumper, flat blacked the plastics and mirrors. Only prep work I did was remove the emblems, remove the flares, removed the are rails and brush guard. I order the paint and dropped it off. $500 in paint, $2000 for labor.

They sprayed my flares for me also, they’ll be going back on the truck. I’ve just gotta order the clips and seal.

Thanks man, I was nervous as hell putting those lights in. First set I’ve ever installed on a truck.

I like that a lot. If I decide to keep mine and the clear coat comes off the paint more I've decided to do something very similar.
