8.3” is too deep. Won’t fit. 6.5 is about the max depth behind the seats.

I am also curious if these would fit. For more complete information the Rockford Fosgate P3S 10" and 12" subs are 5.25" thick at the bottom tapering to 3.25" thick at the top and are 13.5" tall. P3S10" subwoofer is 19" wide and 12" sub is 27.375" wide. Dimensions in links below. R2S linked in original post has same 12" dimensions with 5.25" max thickness at bottom tapering to 3.25" at top and 13.5" tall. Sure seems like this should fit in the passenger side behind the rear seats and allow you to maintain the JBL factory sub if you have one?

Tech12Volts builds a nice enclosure and offers speaker options or bare if you wish to add your own.

I assume this enclosure only fits in a crew cab and not a double cab? I have a double cab and was wondering if it would fit

@e30cabrio Did this really improve the bass/volume or if you had to do it again would you go with a bigger system?
I'm not looking for much, but I don't want to be wishing for more if its only an incremental improvement.

I’m having the same issues man. I need some sound in the dbl cab and I don’t want one of those slim kicker amp/ sub deals that are all in one.

Just saw this post and I would recommend Taco Tunes ported downfiring subs for below the back seat. I installed their system 1b in my 2014 Tundra and OMG! My kid thinks im the man, these speakers are amazing! Just thought Id throw my 2 cents in. Thanks

I actually bought his old sub and am very happy with the sound. I feel like it’s more than loud enough for our trucks, and the quality of the sound is very good.

It looks very interesting. Is this sub frame to install the sub under the passenger seat? Mine has factory amp there so I am not sure if this works. The price is almost $800, wow! My Pioneer installation, whole parts and sub costed me less than $300.

Ok, now I know it won't fit under my passenger seat.

I bought the 2 JL 10W0V3 package from tech12volts and it slams. More than enough for me but I put a bass adjustment knob by the center console and can modify the sound according to how I feel or what I'm listening too. I originally inquired about purchasing the JBL sub replacement but James mentioned most people want more and eventually upgrade. I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend working with James Taylor at tech12volts.

I never found this discussed on any forum, but a JL stealthbox made for 3rd gen Tacoma will fit behind the seat in 3rd gen CM Tundra. It contains one JL W3 10” subwoofer.

When I traded in my Tacoma, I removed JL amp and Stealthbox with the hopes of putting it to use in the new Tundra.

It took a little bit of trial and error to find the right spot, but it saved me the hassle of selling the gear I already had in order to buy the $1500 Tundra version and a more appropriate amp (to power two subs iso one).
