I've got just under 10k on my 2021 and roughly in March, I have noticed that my front seat wiggles or move slightly when accelerating, stopping or hard turns. It is not a big move, but I feel movement.

So, at the most recent Toyota service visit, I left it for a warranty check on the seat issue. The next day, I get a call from the service advisor who told me the following. The technician feels the movement though slight, but he doesn't find anything lose or broken. He goes further to tell me that the tech jumped into another Tundra and found that the driver seat has the same movement. Result: The tech re-torgued the seat bolts. It is good to go!

When I initially got the truck back, the movement was not there, but after driving it for about a week. The movement is back.....hummm.

Does anyone have a similar issue with any of their seats? Asking for a friend.

Note: There is no movement if you get out and try to manhandle the seat in any direction.

I had this issue in a different vehicle and it drove me nuts. Eventually they (Tesla) replaced the whole seat and I had no more issue.

Good luck, I hope you can get it fixed.

Check the build link in my signature.
I’ve not noticed anything of the sort. Could it be the seat cushion shifting/adjusting under you?

Not sure, but it starting to annoy me. The movement is slight, but apparent. I've got it going into the body shop for some hail damage repair at Toyota in about a month. I will ask them to look at it again. Thanks.

Typically it’s seat frame related. Bring it up and they should be willing to replace it under warranty.

Unfortunately, I did and they told me that cannot replace or repair something that the tech found in another new Tundy. I will push it more next month during my upcoming repair. Thanks

I have noticed this in my 21 with 7k miles. It’s like the back of the seat moves ever so slightly and it makes an audible click. I have tried adjusting the seat back up and down but it eventually comes back. I have not had my truck at a dealership since I purchased it but I’m not sure if it’s worth the trip based on your experience @KingsAustin

I have this same issue with my 2020 7k miles. It’s slight but I do notice it from time to time.

I have it too super slight and only happens every so often but is odd/annoying I agree. I’m with everyone else I just ignore it for now till one day maybe a fix.

Take it somewhere else... have them replace it, just be upfront,
"there is movement on my seat and I want it replaced"
My brother is a tech at Dodge, lol... he shared a video with me about another tech replacing a TPMS sensor on a Jeep and the customer came back complaining that it was out of balance due to vibration in the rear.. lol needless to say , the tech refused to take responsibility and blamed the tire and then tried selling this guy tires.. never offered a re-balance and they got into a heated argument.... needless to say I was dying laughing about the mental gymnastics the tech was taking in order for him not to remount and balance the wheel and tire.....

Mine does the same on my 21. Never had this issue on my other two Tundras or Sequoias. I wonder what happened.

Mine doesn’t move but I always feel like I’m sitting at an angle. Not front to back but side to side. Like I’m pointed toward the center of the dash a bit vs sitting square behind the steering wheel.

@KingsAustin My 21 with 4k miles does the exact same thing you described! I'm sorry its happening to yours but I'm happy to hear its not just mine. I had a 2020 before the 21 and the 20 never had any issues. I'm taking the 21 in for the 5k service soon and I'm going to press the issue hard. The seat on a brand new $45k truck should not be moving.

My 21 does this as well. My old 19 or 16 did not do this. I will have to say something to my SA when I stop by for my first service.

Okay, I am not losing my mind. My 2015 and 1st gen never experienced this issue. I am taking it in for another unrelated repair next month and I will be bringing it up. I may even take my sale person for a ride.

Thanks to everyone that chimed in.

My '21 doesn't have this issue. I'm super picky about this kind of thing and like I said above I have had it in another car. If they based their initial decision off of a bad seat in another truck, keep trying. They're not all bad, get them to fix it and good luck.

Have the same issue since day 1, I told the selling dealership Interstate Toyota in Colorado and they didn't even bother to look at it or acknowledge my concern when it was in for other warranty work. I have an appointment Monday with Mountain States and I'll let you know. I spoke with another new Tundra owner who has the same problem.

I'm going to research how to file a complaint directly Toyota sound like a bigger issue.

I had this problem with an Infiniti and it was a bad seat rail. Replaced that and problem fixed.
