    That was me, back in Feb 2003 right after I got my Camry. I asked why it downshifted rough, and I was wondering if there was a TSB about a reflash. You never replied. :(

    odd how i managed to find that today. its been driving me nuts since then.


    as for the issue, there was no reflash that i know of for a rough downshift.. those are kinda clunky transmissions

    Me too, on a 2004 Buick LeSabre with a bad front engine mount, heater blower bad, and oil that looked like asphalt patching for a pothole. My brothers mother-in-laws vehicle.

    Yeah, no joke.

    She has no money. I rehabbed the blower 1.5 years ago after one of the brushes burned down on the blower motor in Jan (no heat). It finally gave out.

    You know the story.... old woman, widow, no sons with mechanical skills... I can't say no. I replaced the brush for free. Since then, she's been a regular customer.

    good on ya for helpin her out. theres an ol lady i keep her 97 intrepid running for free just because she has no money but needs it for work. somehow its been limping along for 3 years now. but shes saving coin for a better car. its only a matter of time before its just dead.
