We're going to Flagstaff today and it's supposed to rain the whole time.

Nah, pros did the deck, so it's actually graded away from the pool lol. My drain line in the travertine is backed up, though, so the water is pooling pretty nicely under the covered part... someday I'll have to look at adding some tiling to drain it further out the other end of my yard.

 

Not sure what your structure overhead looks like, but maybe add a gutter? lol

 

Oh yeah, that. It's been on the list, but the 4 times a year we get heavy rain don't really have it high on my list. There's enough decking that it his the travertine and runs back to the drain line.

My neighbor has been trying to get me to buy his old bike now that he's got his new one dialed in. I've been thinking about getting into it.

 

How old is "old" bike?

Not sure. He said it definitely needs a tune-up, but he buys good stuff so it would probably be a solid unit for a while after some TLC. I haven't looked into it too seriously yet.

Not AZ related but anyone with siblings may be able to relate, I just texted my asshole brother that is not speaking to me happy birthday. I hope it pisses him off.

My brother has a need to be you are dead to me mad at someone, when our Father died (that he did not speak to the last 10 years of his life) he transferred the hate to me.

I hope he has decades of sad anger.

Eh my uncle is kinda a dick.
Just don’t let your brothers hate grow within you. But it sounds like you at least try to be in contact, even if it’s not reciprocated

 

He refuses to interact, he ignored my birthday in May. I'm available but not going to chase him.

As an aside, as I said he literally said dad is dead to me over 10 years ago, I was set to deal with helping mom when he died, my brother swooped in a month prior and took over. My mom wanted peace so I let it go. He ended up with control of everything including his son getting dad's car and he is mad at me for demanding access and the ability to have an overview of where mom's money goes (which I have)

Part of his anger was he thought I was slacking (as I said he jumped in and took over) I was unwilling to be his unpaid poorly treated employee.

In the end I alone moved her out of her house, into mine, put her stuff in storage and drove her from Laveen to Santa Monica.

I am sad and think it's ironically funny he is the angry one.

I hope he is happy and am fine not seeing him until moms funeral, hopefully in 30 years (she would be 117)
