Let’s see your aftermarket front and rear bumpers!!

You have a 2016 so you do not need a pro grille for the bar on a C4 bumper, because you do not have the TSS system. That is the only thing the bar affects.

Your sonar is the parking sensors, and many bumpers have the sensor cutouts. If you replace your rear bumper you will lose BSM if you have it. The sensors for this are inside the rear bumper, and sit behind the plastic. They cannot see through the metal corners of aftermarket bumpers. This is why all trucks with BSM have color matched rear bumpers.They are NOT the small round sensors. Those are your parking sonar and will work fine as long as the bumper has holes to mount them.

 

I cut it that way and designed the bumper to match the angle. There is plenty of room based on departure angle for the wheeling I do.

This Overland Bumper won't interfere with TSS right? Close to pulling the trigger.

 

Depends on what grille you have. If you have the pro grille that is pictured then you're fine. If your sensor is behind your emblem then the bar pictured will interfere.

 

@2020Platinum changed the game with his mod. I would check out his YouTube video around tss sensor relocation into the lower grill surround. That is what I am planning on doing to run my demello front bumper

 

Still going strong, this spot worked perfectly!!...no error codes at all, and if anything my sensor is actually a little more sensitive than it was in the original location....I’ll be doing a follow up video on it, here’s the link for the relocation for anyone who would like to see where I put it!

@King R 808 - I have the same smittybilt 12K winch, where did you locate your controller box? the wire lines are so short.

 

I did my bro with C4 hybrid and Smitty 12K X2O winch. I mounted the control box to the right (passenger side) of the winch with provided bracket, no issues with power cable reaching the stock battery location.

 

RC released a new weld it yourself bumper. Doesnt look bad.

 

How did you flip the OEM receiver?

 

I'll see if uncle would like this for his incoming 2017 Tundra project. We'll start working on it after we finished installing the suspension and dually wheels on the current Superduty project.

 

I cut the main tube off and re-welded it, plenty of room to cut and reweld. I also remove existing receiver and support plates, and then made my own and have those rewelded.

Need help accessing my dashboard switch area

 

I’m asking in this forum because I’m adding an OEM style light bar switch and I only have one blank spot available.

I’m trying to access this blank switch:
I’d like to either relocate my parking sensor (which will no longer be used and use that spot) or add the light bar switch to this location.. Can I enter through the cup area? I can’t find much info on this area. I don’t won’t to pull my dash and would like to enter through the bottom...

any info is appreciated.

 

I highly recommend to have a plastic panel removal tool.

1. Take off the shift knob and put a rag over the threads so you don't scratch anything.
2. Pop off the center console
3. Remove the panel you identified, the HVAC panel may pop off with it.

Yeah I can’t find that specific spot...I looked through a fair amount of em the last 2 days. I can pop the console super easy. I just want access to that switch. I plan to look tonight. Thank you

Does anyone else know of a front bumper that accommodates for wider fiberglass fender flares? I see C4 does but haven't seen anyone else

Went looking for a welder that could handle this project a couple of weeks ago. Finally found one and went to order today, now the bumper's gone up $100 bucks. Now having second thoughts.
