    Hi All,

Looking to get some advice…I recently bought a used RCI bed rack (58in) older model for my short bed. I ordered the drill free clamps from RCI but bc I have an older model, the clamps do not fit *sigh* Any advice on how to get this thing secured on the bed? Is my only option to install a deck rail system and get the RCI adapter brackets? Any advice is appreciated.

There are various kinds of ladder rack mount hardware available. Some clamp on the lip and some use stake pockets then go in the side with a bolt. Google is your friend. I used stake pocket expandable rubber anchoring points for my racks and rails, just replaced the eye bolts with stainless steel 3/8" bolts. Nice and solid for a few thousand miles so far. No drilling into the bed, only cut the plastic caps which are replaceable easily.

behind the bed liner are several threaded hard points... if you don't want to remove liner... either measure a friends or ask the dealer if you can measure one on the lot... then you will know where to "open/cut" the liner for hard point bracketry

Looks like you may need to notch your plastic bedliner.

Get rid of the plastic liner and do spray in. Then You can see where the holes are and possibly mount the in bed rail system. I just took mine out for my RCI rack and since you are in OC (I work in OC) I can give you my bed rail system
