Got the truck mini detailed on Friday, since I've purchased this truck I have been trying my best to take care of it. I knew my interior was clean but I figured they would have products that would make it really pop so I got a full interior detail, engine bay detail, and hand wash. Well, engine bay looks great, that's something I don't even want to bother trying to do on my own. Exterior looked good, not amazing but clean and for $35 it was worth it. Interior was not what I expected, it looked exactly the same as when I left it. There wasnt dust or dirt anywhere as I keep it clean like I said but there was some residue on the door jams that I couldn't get off that was still there. Rubber seals on bottom of windows were still dirty, the only thing that was done well was the floor mats. I usually clean them once a month and I left them knowing they would be cleaned. I'm not upset because I knew the truck was clean to start but for $240 I would have hoped they would have either called and told me I didn't need it because everything they would do is already done or gone above and behind to make it worth the money. Either way as fate would have it I drove the Truck up to Phoenix on Saturday and came back to Tucson just in time to get caught in the worst weather we've had all season. Sunday my paint was filthy so I took half the day and used one of the bays at my local car wash to clean and wax the paint. Came out pretty good.

Had the alignment done and all is good. They were able to get it all in spec and it just misses the upper control by about an inch.

I really like the idea of putting a cooler or fridge there! I don’t know how to do any of that, but I can only imagine the time and effort that went into planning and creating.

Yeah, jumping into the bed to reach the cooler gets old fast. Plus, I have a Leitner rack so I'm crawling under that. The thought of mounting an eventual Dometic in the bed also didn't sound appealing so I got to making chips The design/build wasn't all that tough. I'll probably start a build thread for this and some of the other projects I've worked on for the truck.

Looks good! Just curious, which fuse did you tap into? Mine only come on with the low beams but I really want them to come on with the boomerang DRLs.

I loved those on my tacoma. All of the little hooks on the ends of mine in the tundra have broken off and now they don't hold anything.

I got acc 12v and constant 12v from internal fuse panel using add a circuit today. Since add a circuit sticks out high, lid can't be fit with them. Those of you used ones there, how do you do with the lid? Just leave it detached, exposing fuse panel? I should search further in the forum but could not find the right one. Little advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know if you can access one of the blank spots below the temp where the USB ports are. By running a light bar wire under dash or it’s looks to me you need to remove the console to reach wire after it comes thru the firewall. Thanks.

Thanks!! I didn't like the chrome at first but I'm now embracing it. Everyone wants to delete the chrome I'm just gonna run with it. Now I just need me some chrome deep dish pavement princess wheels with rubber bands for tires lol

Yep, you have to open up your dash panels and pop out the blank spot. That way, it'll allow you to run a switch to that spot. Search up nitroz18fishing on youtube - he has a really detailed video on how to remove your dash trim to access those spots.

I didn't take any pics because I was a little strapped for time; but I took off my DiamondBack HD, removed by bed rail caps, and installed the bed rail cap shims that DiamondBack includes, but doesn't include in their installation instructions. I've had my DiamondBack on for about a year and a half, and noticed that my bed rail caps were looking a bit crushed where you clamp to the bed rails. It really bugged me that they weren't (and still aren't) very clear about these shims needing to be installed. It's always bugged me cause when I look at them I can see they're crushing the caps, and I've been worried they may be crushing the bed rails themselves. After installing these it's like night and day, they look much more solid, and supported. If you have a DiamondBack, I highly recommend taking the time to install these if you haven't. I may actually make a standalone post about this for visibility, because I think a lot of people don't know you need these.

I believe the gray will get you at least 18 HP, thus the reason I added a little on top of my engine cover :D

The Beast sat another day but did some Tundra related work on the TPV....full brake job, I mean everything, done on the Toaster. Now at 200,924 miles and could easily go another 100K with routine maintenance. Love this thing!

I used an add a fuse to wire in my dash cam, I just left the cover off. It's pretty up and out of the way so I think it should be fine. Keep the cover in the truck though so you still have the schematic to reference.

Thanks! I'm planning an an overall build page and will include this.

If it weren't for the cost of materials I'd even think about cranking these out for other people ;)

Brought it to a cars and coffee meet Saturday. Parked close to a DeLorean. I stole the flux capacitor and gonna try to install it this weekend. Anyone have a write up for it? Plan on installing next to the transmission cooler

Ugh, I don't know how many times I have to tell people this. Flux capacitor can't go in the engine bay! They need to be installed in the cabin with direct airflow from the AC vent. These things overheat way to much to be near the engine.
