Not sure if this is the right place to put this but I’m headed to sa Thur to house hunt. Looking for a good super safe area to raise kids and land any support would be great

Lots of great places in and around town. I’m out I-10 towards Boerne. Very nice neighborhoods that can fit many different budgets. They just finished expanding I-10 adding an hov lane so that has also helped with traffic.

I am on the NE side in Selma (35 &1604). There is a lot around the area - garden ridge, schertz and cibolo. Just depends on budget and if you want a larger lot.
I have been seeing lots of reports of crime on the West side (1604 and 151) of catalytic converters being stolen from tundras.
Also be aware a lot of houses have been getting offers within hours of hitting the market, so a house that is available today may have multiple offers or be under contract by the time you come to look.
I have been browsing for a while looking for a piece of land over an acre that is not $100k+ or a house with an acre plus, but it has been slim pickings in my price range of under 350k

We are on the west side around Wiseman. The newer neighborhoods are safe (not sure about the older areas) and fall in a good school district.

Completely random but needing help guys...I'm looking for a shop that can put on the JBA long tube headers. Worst case scenario my friend and I could do it but just wanted to know if anyone knew of a shop anywhere here in SA. Also if anyone can recommend a shop to regear to 5.29 then it would be a lot of help.

I did my own header install and wasnt too bad if you have the time - Just another ARH LT Review (Pic Heavy) | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)
Dont know of a shop outside of 4wheel Parts off Broadway.

I had Twisted Axle off Bandera/410 handle my LSD install. Rafeal did a great job and recommend them.

I think I am going to do the header install with my friend soon, but I will have to send off the cats to @dirtydeeds so he can get them ready.

As far as Twisted Axle did they do the full swap? Like regear and lsd? How much did they charge you on the labor?

I dropped the 3rd member myself and delivered it to them, took right about 1hr to remove from truck. That labor saved me $350 and only came out of pocket $220 for LSD install as I kept factory gears. Your doing gears which will be more costly due to requiring shimming and more than likely master kit.

Makes sense if your sending mid pipes off to take that approach imo

I have heard good things about twisted axle. I had my 5.29 gears and lsd installed by truck masters. Some people have gone to C&W offroad and 4WP for gear install. I ordered all the parts from BossOffroad for a lot less than buying direct from the installers.

Keep us updated on the headers, I want to get those next year and am torn between paying to have them installed or attempting myself.

@Cfincke how much if you dont mind did truck masters charge? I'm gonna be getting my stuff through @dirtydeeds more than likely for the gears but totally didnt think about the lsd and master kit, either way gonna be dropping a lot and im torn as well between doing this or working on the headers and cats first.

In my opinion right now though I see that since I have the 35's, more weight and what not I think for the sake of the truck, trans and what not I should do the gears first as opposed to the headers and cats. But in regards to the headers and cats I think I am going to do it with my friend who is a lot more comfortable doing it, seeing as he's done stuff like this in the past.

    What does everyone think?

sent you a PM. they did have my truck for 5 days to install the gears, LSD, and power steering rack bushings.

Ask Keith what order, he will have a knowledgeable opinion.
you may ask truckmasters how much to install gears and headers at the same time? with the front drive shaft removed for gears, the headers will be a little easer to install

I called Rafeal and spoke to him yesterday and am going to have him install the gears and LSD. Mentioned that he was recommended and appreciated the business. I'll keep everyone updated on the progress. Thanks again brother.

So meant to ask, can anyone go to these or do you have to be a part of the club?

Reason being is 1. I don't have any social media at all except for my Linkedin account do to possible job placement here in the future, so as far as having the vet me or get to know me it would have to be at a meet or through text or phone and I know that can be sketchy and what not but I literally dont have a facebook page. My wife does but groups have denied her before because its not "my page".
