I get to work at 5:30 every day. There are 3 coworkers who get there at 4am. We live in Colorado. They get off early afternoon by 1pm. It's freaking Colorado. Not Mass. Lots of things to do within a hour. Up high......those Rocky Mountains are a bit of a draw.....

How dare you sir!..We here in Mass. have lots of great stuff to do here, like beginning the Revolutionary war, and paying really high taxes. :boink: We also have Cape Cod which is really nice. :)

Quite frankly Canada is looking quite nice now. The northwest part. I like the cold actually.

Wake up, take a whiz, Bible study for 15-30 minutes, then shower/shave, get dressed, and enjoy a cup of coffee on the way to work (which comes anywhere from 5 a.m. to 7:30 a.m., depending on what's going on that day).

I workout an hour every day, but when I workout is dictated by the schedule. If I'm WFH that day, I either do it right before work or at lunch. If I'm @ work physically, I usually workout in the afternoon/evening.

Not part of my daily routine. I've been helping my friends adapt a Stable Lift for their totally restored Alaskan camper. 1964 vintage. The Alaskan has a
few hail dings over the years but the inside is totally made over. Everything made over. Quite heavy. A non starter with our tunnies. It's going on a fully restored 2001 F-250. My daily routine changes on a day by day basis....

No. You're not proselytizing or advocating. Religion is a very fine line here though. Very fine line. Same with politics. You gave an honest response to this particular thread. Tread lightly though....fair warning.

Religious text study is another good one…somehow it always gets squeezed out of my day. 30 minutes seems very sustainable. Always pays big dividends.

definitely one of the better things you can do for your body is replenish the water you lose while sleeping, coffee doesn't much do it.

The entire reason I started doing Crossfit is because all of the activities I enjoyed before moving to Mass are so restricted or expensive here that I never seem to be able to do them. Most involved bird dogs, high speed projectiles and "free-range protein acquisition" as another member of the forum phrased it.

If my wife's family wasn't here in Mass I'd be out West, no question.

A coworker retired several years ago. Went back to Cape Cod. Before she retired she take an annual
trip back every summer. The pics she would bring back of the food was crazy good. She has a son in law who happens to be Doug Fluties brother.

Something else we try to do is have dinner as a family. It’s kind of hard with both parents working all day and kids being involved in organized evening activities, but we manage to make it happen more often than not, I think.

During the work week. Eat breakfast and drink some OJ. I like to mix it up. Burrito, cereal, muffin, etc. drive to work while enjoying either a red Bull or mtn dew kickstart and some Copenhagen. Listen to some tunes. Pour some mud. Come home and hang out with my newborn daughter and get a few hours asleep. Back at it again the next day. It’s a good life. Very thankful for it I gotta say

I'm not sure I do anything that "enriches" my life, though I'm going to try getting up early this week to work out and see how long I can stick with that.

I used to work out after work but that's tough with a 10 month old.

So I have my main job, which is the railroad, I work Tues to Tues, so on my first day off is Wed, I wake, take Max and Gemma out the the front door to make their morning rituals (even though there is a doggie door to the back) then give em a treat, make myself two eggs n apple wood bacon on some butter flavored flour tortillas with a Coke Zero, watch local news then the Today show, then decide if the yard needs to be cut or not, start work laundry, piddle in my garage, tune up small engines (mower, trimmer, blower, pressure washer, buzz saw, generator) or see what's needed done around house, dryer vent cleaned out, washer lint trap cleaned out, water plants, then decide what to make for dinner by mid-day, Then I have a part-time job at AutoZone as a delivery driver, that's usually all day Thursday Friday half or all-day Saturday, my Sunday's vehicle maintenance or yard work, Mondays pack up, hit the road for railroad

Y'know, I'd love to do that. But growing up with a Dad for whom 'sleeping in' meant 7:30 instead of 7, and then spending 17 years in the military, AND being the guy who gets 6 hours of sleep a night for years on end....means I'm up at 5 or 6 (or earlier) no matter what.

Sounds like you have lots of time to work out, then. :p My wife doesn't let me go to sleep until 11 every night and our daughter wakes up at least once in the night and our dog wakes up at least once in the night so even getting up at 7 so I can start work (at home) by 7:30 is a struggle.

After waking up and getting ready for work or the day, pray a Rosary to our Holy Mother lifting up my petitions and prayers to our Lord Jesus Christ. That is what keeps me even for the day. If I miss it due to something popping up that I can't avoid, then the Rosary is said later in the day. Try not to miss it ever. The more I let go, the more He is in control of my life!
