Has anyone added these to your tundra for pulling a camper or trailer? How did they perform?

I used timbren cause I haul my tools they work great, and don’t have to worry about anything just install and forget it.

Sumo springs are great, if you want articulation, buy a second set and cut them down about a half inch higher than bump stop heighth then you can swap em out when you need articulation. Roadmaster active suspension kit is very good stuff too. Check it out.IMG_20210515_201800_2.jpg

Last year I put the black sumosprings on my truck, have to say I'm very happy with them. With my boat on back (about 4500lbs) and the box and back seat area filled with vacation gear, less than 1.5" squat.

I also don't think they degrade the empty truck ride much, maybe some but I really don't notice it. But I don't lust for the Cadillac ride either, no problem with a truck ride.

I tow a 4,500 boat also. I think they make the ride a little more harsh in the rear while towing but they also make the rear feel more controlled and way less squat. No impact on the drive when not towing or loaded.

That’s because the frame is not sitting on the sumo spring, so u have an inch of soft factory spring b4 you hit the sumo. Maybe get the softer sumo spring if your frame not touching.

Agree. They made me a custom set to accommodate the 1.5 inch lift in the rear so that may have played a role in them not contacting the frame. Overall I am still pretty happy with them. I might try airbags next time but I don’t want an airbag to rip or explode while towing.
