Will a rear drive shaft out of a 2001 toyota sequoia 4x4 4.7 v8 work in a 2001 toyota tundra 4.7 v8

 

I would just call the parts dept at the dealer and ask if they’re the same part number.

 

No, they are different.

 

I'm gonna say no to this. Wheelbase is different.

 

This makes 3 no’s….McGeorge shows Tundra 4x4 fitting only Tundra 00-04 Limited/SR5

In this case, you're correct, but for future reference I noticed recently that McGeorge (and probably other dealers) doesn't always give accurate info on parts interchange when a part number has superseded. I recently bought some bolts for my exhaust manifold change and the part number had superseded but McGeorge said they did not fit my MY when I knew they had to be correct. It caused me to question my own judgement momentarily before I went back to verify from other sources before realizing McGeorge's was not supplying the older p/n. The # they were giving was correct and would have worked but the way it appeared was that the older superseded number would not.
