Well, I simply couldn't help myself. As everyone knows, the the Tundra is selling for more used then it was brand new. What a crazy world we are in. I loved my truck. :( With that said, I missed my Jeep Grand Cherokee & simply couldn't pass up letting a dealer give me $51k on trade for this. It had 4,700 miles and is a 2019. I was the one that had the wheels Powder Coated in anodized bronze. It has been de-badged so only those that know know not to bother. ;) :burnrubber:I hope you don't mind me sticking around. This is hands down the best auto community I have been around.

Congrats on getting into what you want, but based on my experience with a Grand Cherokee, good luck!

Good looking vehicle but I hope you bought the extended warranty if you plan to keep it for a while

I had 0 problems with my last one but to answer the question.... Yes I did. These things run way too hot to believe they are bullet proof.

Not all GC are created equal. Something tells me this one has some ass under the hood.

    Details please.

A Tundra for a Grand Cherokee? That’s why I don’t base decisions on emotion. :)

Bottom line it’s you that has to be happy. So if a GC makes you and the family happy, tick one off for the positive column.

Congrats on what you wanted….. But to me I stick with Toyota. As of right now I have +20-25k more value on my vehicles it sounds tempting to get rid of due to making money on what I originally paid but……… lol I rather not when shit hits the fan and you get in a pickle vehicle brand that hold their value due come in handy. It happened to me in 2008 when economy dropped had to sell my 2004 4Runner to avoid bankruptcy then happened to me again in 2012 and had to sell my 2006 Tundra…..but everyone has different views I guess….

Haha! that is correct sir. The exhaust and the calipers are the only things that will "tell" on what it is. I have only a few mild mods taking place such as replacing the brake pads (way too much dust), swapping the grill inserts to all black and a CAI. 700+HP is actually enough.

Congrats and enjoy. The Jeep dealer here is the only one with any inventory for some reason. They may have anticipated the chip shortage better than others. Still a good selection of new Gladiators.

My neighbour has a GC SRT8 with an obnoxiously loud exhaust. So is the one on the Trackhawk even louder?

Congrats - for me, this finding this forum has been one of the best perks of owning a Tundra. I don’t plan on ever getting rid of my Tundra but I KNOW I’ll never leave this forum (moderator’s willing, of course).

The Jeep grand Cherokee trackhawk is simply a bad ass vehicle…..you don’t buy one of those without understanding that there will some issues down the road. The trick is to not let the issues completely wipe the smile every time you start that thing up and launch at a red light…….my brother is considering trading his Audi s7 for the Dodge Ram trx. But that trackhawk will dust many cars two to three times the price and still fit the family.

Interesting because that seems to be the one vehicle that all Jeep dealers still have brand new. Not sure if that is due to anticipation or simply that that particular vehicle is way over priced for what it is.

    Nice ride.

Make sure to chime in from time to time in threads where dudes are lamenting their fuel mileage. Put things into perspective for them.

Now get out there and punish some tires and burn some evil fossil fuels. Greta wants you to.

I went in to see what the wait on the TRX might be. The power is too tempting. I already knew I would buy a TH if the price was right. I gotta say, it's hard not to smile knowing you can gap 65%+ of all cars on the road. I have to say, it pulls my enclosed trailer with SXS at 80MPH & still gets 11.2MPG. As of now, I love it. We all understand how quickly that love can turn to hate if it has issues. Its a Jeep so Ill just keep my fingers crossed.

No actually. It has a valved exhaust so it only gets loud above 3000RPM's. I don't even hear the exhaust when driving normally. The dual exhaust on my Tundra (TRD) had a louder cold start than the TH.

Was about to say it's one the smoothest and most quiet rides out there.. but then I took a second look and saw it's a Trackhawk.. love it even more!!! Definitely lots of fun I'm sure, the 3.6 v6 is fast enough as is, now you get to smoke as many folks as you'd like and park easily around town :headbang:

Would do it in a heartbeat without second-guessing myself, just have not seen them priced within my budget

Its actually crazy....the stock TRX on the lot had a $9k dealer markup. BUT, it didn't have two options that he wanted. He wanted cooled seats (the one on the lot had only heated seats).....and one other minor thing (i think it was the color of the headliner or bedliner). The $95K truck doesn't come standard with a bedliner believe it or not.....He was willing to do the deal if they came off the dealer markup but they wouldn't budge. Here is the part that is absurd - you can order whatever you want from the factory, there is a 6-10 week lead time and there is NO DEALER MARK-UP on the special orders........he is still conflicted.

His cold start is definitely louder than my stock Tundra. But luckily he's moving away soon.
