Best place to sell truck

My buddy bought his dream truck in Jan 2018. (see attached photo) Months later he became disabled due to a medical condition and now needs to sell it. I'm helping him out and would appreciate you guys letting me know the best place to list this truck. Any thoughts on ebay or Carvanna?

I will take more pictures this weekend. It has 1,700miles is a 2017 model 4x4. Dealer installed lift, wheels and upgrades. Located in Hemet, Calif.

 

I would get offers from Vroom.com Carvana, and CarMax.com (they now do some on-line offers, but need to be able to take it to a dealer for final appraisal and sale).

Also, if you have a local Toyota dealer, many are buying them for cash too.

Check the “price” on KBB.com, and then compare offers between the others.

Of course, private sale may bring more money, but also adds complexity and may take longer.

 

Carvana has been seeming to pay top dollar for used from what I've seen.

Above options are def worth a look into. Send them all what you got and see what they come back with.

 

I've had great no nonsense offers and sales thru VROOM and Carvana but recently I've seen a recent uptick in complaints with these services. You can submit your info to see what they offer. If anything it gives you a price floor for when you do sell, their offer is free.

Realistically you could probably shop it around to local dealers to see what they offer you; they can easily flip a well kept Tundra for profit.

More importantly I hope your buddy gets better and makes a full recovery soon!

 

Don't tell anyone you NEED to sell it. Just ask them if they wish to make a reasonable offer.

 

Put it in craigslist all over, coast, san diego etc. supply is so low someone will drive to get it

 

I've had great luck with CarMax, but agree with all the other posts. Try all options and take the best offer.

Very much this. It will be tricky if you are selling it on your friend's behalf.

 

Compare Carvana and Vroom. I sold my 2013 to Carvana....very easy process. Somewhere in the forum is a Tundras for sale thread or you could list it in the marketplace once you reach 50 posts.

Carvana is hit or miss. I’ve had really good luck, sold them my 2021 for $5k more than any dealer was offering. They give you a quick offer and it’s painless.

 

Search your local crime maps - go to the area with the most red dots and car logos on it - someone will take it off your hands in no time in that area I bet.
