Bought this tundra rubber mat from my local dealership, I didn't like how rough the spray in bedliner was and was either going to get this or the bedrug. I like this more because it feels very heavy duty and it's extremely easy to clean.

Made a stupid mistake on this day, I was cleaning the inside of the truck and shampooing the carpet and needed to move the Tundra to get my 4runner out to run to the store. I didn't want to step on the carpet because I was right in the middle of cleaning it and it was wet. Left the door propped open and went to move the Tundra forward a few feet. Well, one thing led to another and the driver's door ended up fighting with my brick wall, The wall won. I was pissed but found a decent body shop literally across the street from me and took it in. Here is the damage.

Body shop was very fast and did an amazing job. They were already replacing the driver's door so I had them keep the door emblem off and also remove the passenger side emblem as well. They also repainted the pieces under the headlights so I guess it was a win in the end.

I forgot, the day before the accident I had my weathertech window visors installed. I like the look of them and have never had any issues. Don't have a picture because the next day I wrecked it.

Thanks! I'm down for a meet up. Seems like there's not to many of us down south so maybe we can head up there or meet you guys half way and go storm casa grande!

First thing I did when I got my truck back was install my AJT shifter. At this point I have all the AJT accessories they carry. I love the look and feel of the shifter but my God is it hot when I get into the truck.

I really wanted that shifter, but I knew it’d be a branding iron in the summer here. I’ll check back in a few months and see if you still have it, lol.

My current plans are to black out everything outside which I'm about 90% there then I'm also trying to piece together a lift. The Tundra is different then my 4runner so I'm trying to figure out what I want/need that fits my budget then getting it installed. Currently I think I'm set on a pro comp lift with 6" fox coilovers up front and fox shocks with resi in the rear with all the extras like drop kits and UCAs. Hopefully I can get direction from someone with experience so I can order and play the waiting game.

Actually installed it a few months ago but just barely had some free time to update the build thread. I cracked my windshield on a trip up north shortly after and when I went in to get it replaced they offered me some free UV tint for the entire windshield. I was skeptical of its effectiveness at first but I have to say it's amazing. Windshield has a very slight blue tint in the right light but otherwise completely clear and the Temps in my truck have dropped drastically even with it sitting in the sun all day. I would highly recommend it for anyone living in this heat.

I think I saw you talking with another member about the clear ceramic on the windshield - I’m looking into that for both my truck and my wife’s Highlander. And probably will see how much it would cost to replace my factory tint while I’m at it.

Of course after I order the shifter AJT comes out with the black interior door handles so I ordered them as well. Some people are having issues with them but I've had them on for a month now and they work great. I also scored some black exterior handles from a member on here so I got them both done and I'm one step closer to fully blacked out.

I did my windshield through dwights auto and glass. I know the promo for the free UV tint is still available down here but I don't know if you guys have them up there. For some strange reason my truck has different shades of tint on my rear windows, drivers rear is like 20% and passenger is like 35%. I'm currently trying to find someone who will give me 5% on all 4 doors.

Not really, I like the lifted look and will probably only take it off road on some wide open fire roads because I want to take care of the paint. This is also our family vehicle since my wife traded in her SUV for a hemi challenger. Now our family of 5 will be using to tundra for local and long distance traveling. I want a comfortable ride and it wouldn't hurt if it sounded like a race truck and drove like one. Full exhaust and CAI are in the future as well. Rims and larger tires after that. I don't need a serious off road rig because my 4runner does that so just something that rides well and sits pretty.

Speaking from my personal experience about being anal retentive about my senses.

Night time with any film on the windshield causes some star-bursting from light sources ( head lights, stop lights, etc) drives me bonkers and makes me questioning the health of my vision.

Film is more susceptible to scratches be it cleaning, working around the dash, front sunshade up down etc.

As window film turns UV into heat by design, i worry about thermoshock from things like an abrupt rain, washing the truck etc, less of a worry on thicker glass, especially layered, but it is a worry. This plus the radiated heat to the damn TSS sensor, also worries me.

And finally, windshields around the PHX valleys have a very short life span and I’d hate to have to deal with replacing tint every single time a new windshield needs to be installed…f that…

Maybe I’m paranoid, but decades of being a vehicle builder of all sorts, I’ve seen a few things…

    end rant!

True but in my experience the gains outweigh the flaws. If I start shattering windshields every couple months from shock then I'll rethink it. And if dwights keeps giving me the UV tint for free when I go in then I'm not worrying about retinting when I do need to replace the windshield. I haven't noticed any light glare at night even with oncoming high beams so maybe it is there but doesn't bother me at all.

I purchased an aftermarket pro grille from another member on here. Saved me a couple hundred from buying oem. I did however purchase an oem hood bulge to match it. Flaws with the aftermarket grille is that the Toyota logo is different and as such will not work with the lights I purchased to go behind the letters. It's also gloss black and not attitude black but honestly unless your an inch from the truck you wouldn't notice. I have the emblem off because I want to paint it black before installing.

Bought these cup holder inserts as soon as they were available from @abomb60. They are great and match my door inserts.

Purchased this seat cover online. I wanted something to protect the seats from my kids and dogs. I also want to keep the option of lifting the seats independently. Very heavy duty and has the option to lift the seats separately as well as pull the armrest down.

Purchased this compressor from nsv, it suppose to go under the rear passenger seat but I've seen people install them in the ESP storage units so I'm waiting to install it there. Also came with absolutely no instructions

Purchased these black mirror covers off another member on here. Simple install, total blackout getting closer.

You can also see the badges and stickers removed give the truck a much cleaner look.

I purchased the LED puddle lights and license plate lights from theretrofitsource.com. they were easy to install and I'm now full LED all the way around.

Purchased the plastic ESP storage unit for under the rear seats. This should have been here from the factory but thats for another thread. I went straight for it and started hacking away. Install took less then an hour and after I installed it I realized the compressor does not fit inside. Made me mad because I purchased this mainly because I saw it done but apparently it only works with the metal one. I'm working with the supplier to get it swapped out for the metal one.

I've read good things, but like I mentioned, I have little to no idea what I'm doing. 4runner was simple, coilovers in the front and shocks and coils in the back. UCA for better alignment. Tundra I have to worry about bracket lift and tons of different shock setups then in the back just leafs or leafs and blocks or shims and then adding shocks in addition to the leafs. It's a whole different world.

This is the original kit I was looking at but with 6" shocks. Then I was told to look at pro comp
