Savvy business people would create an "underground" set of sub-forums where those who did want to discuss "forbidden" topics can for an annual fee/dues and make money off of them and make it clear that those topics are to stay underground or else, but not arbitrarily enforce them. I see and read NSFW stuff and violations everywhere, so I have a hard time accepting the mods don't know. All the mods I've personally known over the years are well aware of who's who and what's what very quickly, so we'll have to agree to disagree there.

We may have different definitions of NSFW. I've seen a few "violations" but I don't report them. I just avoid those threads while at work.... except this one. No system is perfect, but I've not seen anyone get a perma for taboo topics without first having been warned/banned repeatedly.

If you want to discuss taboo topics here, you can do so via PMs. You can have group PMs, too. Several members do it, and I am sure there is plenty of NSFW stuff in them too. Use caution though. Members can still report you for stuff in PMs.

Double duty for the wood blocks this weekend. I had a chewed up sidewall go out on the highway which was fun, used the blocks to assist in chalking/ lifting the truck.

    LOL.
I've been up for a while already.
The morning is the very best part of the day. That brief period between the first inklings of light and when the world starts to wake up. Nirvana.
(largely because there aren't any forking humans out ruining the day yet)

Been up all night, myself. Ready to go home and sleep, but by the time my relief gets here I'll be awake again. Seems to be the way it always works. Cannot complain. Love my schedule and my job, but I'm just spread thing lately. Pardon my whining. :p

Is there some quarter shortage going on right now?

I swear every time I go to Dunkin’ Donuts to get a coffee, it’s always dimes, nickels and pennies for change regardless of the amount.

Got $0.55 in nickels and dimes this morning.

Some places have signs up about a national coin shortage.

I was trying to get a roll worth of each state, and each state park.

    213786965_10159223995070275_152138798091_acc692c57f6d65604103f1b1f2cabc3a3d709b76.jpg
i made some texas corner shelves, and thought id make a us map with 2 polished quarters inlaid into each state. For rhode island to fit 2 quarters, the map of the lower 48 would be over 5 ft across.

Like the Sacagawea dollar coin nobody wants? Word of caution, never reload your MBTA pass in Boston without exact change or you’ll end up getting one (or several).

A friend had his own business and the bank used to charge him for change. Dunkin' may be relying on change from customers and may not be getting quarters. The customer's kids may be getting all of those for the arcade.

There are still arcades around? Last time I was in one, the games were like $1-$2/game and most kids were using tokens instead of quarters.

I set up an appointment at the Toyota dealer for an alignment after replacing the suspension on the RAV4 and I asked them how much they would charge to replace the serp belt since they would already have the wheel off and that's how you access it. They corrected me and told me they don't take the wheels off for the alignment.. Apparently their fancy machine somehow does all the work.

Also, their hourly rate is now $170.. I'll find another shop to do the serp belt.

On a completely unrelated note, I’d like to see a remake of the “Warriors” movie but in today’s times.
