Truck made it to 100000 miles, no issues, replaced the original brakes at 75,725 miles. I love it, here’s to another 100000 miles.

These trucks should be held to a higher standard. Even a Kia can make it to 200k. You got this!

 My wife had a 1998 Avalon with 249k miles on it. I once went out to check the air filter and there was a pile of dog food under the filter in the bottom of the housing. I always get a good laugh when I go back and look at that picture lol.

Loaded up and ready for tomorrow morning. A week long trip, sadly the furthest I've ever towed in 23 yrs, 320 miles away. I think the Tundra will open it up further though. Stopping for the night about midway. IMG_20210709_221643.jpg

Nice! Very little sag even with all of that load. Airbags or Roadmaster active suspension or something else?

    Have a great trip!

Air bags the previous owner installed. They have about 12lbs in them. A WDH too. I try to balance camper tongue with payload. Not much in the bed, but in the back of camper. It tends to be tongue heavy, so I compensate. It also has a GVWR of 7k, with a semi wet of 5k. So I have lots of wiggle room. I do my absolute best to stay as safe as I can, trying to use the 80% towing capacity rule.

And thank you, I hope it is. My wife and I did our best to insure it :)

Took a three day weekend and rented another trailer. It towed quite well. The 5.7 got a workout on the mountain passes in the 3-4k rpm range. Temp needles didn't move.

    20210709_102847.jpg

I was dealing with intermittent "oL" and "SH" codes on the prodigy p2. Hoping it was the trailer and not my truck's wiring. Anyone have a cheap method for load testing the brakes on the road? Multimeter shows up to 12v, but that's not under load and not a road test. The issue while towing was intermittent and impossible to replicate. No real pattern.

I recently had the same problems with my trailer. 2 out of my four wheels had wires rubbing inside the brakes against the drum. Required removing the wheels, castle nuts, bearing, drums and fixing the wiring then zip tie them up out of the way

From everything I've found online, 9 times out of 10 the problem is the trailer. That trailer was a rental and I made the owner aware of the issue. I'm just trying to find a way to make sure my truck is good to go for another trip.

I love my diamondback tonneau cover, yes I can store the bikes in the camper but it takes up room in there which we use often when we stop to use the bathroom on breaks or gas stops. Doesn’t take much from my payload, I also don’t have sway bars and tundra tows excellent with about 2/3 freshwater for bathroom breaks. About 1500 miles of towing, no problems.

my 2020 tundra limited crew max 4x4 max towing is 8800lbs. sticker on door says i can do 1400 payload. i wouldnt recommend constant driving slightly over payload. if you go for a long weekend 2-3 hours away just drive smart. if your gonna be non stop traveling then get a bigger truck or smaller TT.

That is the wife's 2002 Limited. Basically just car pooling to our 2nd home. Her and the kids stayed up when I had to go back to work. I am considering throwing the 21 with 15 miles on it on the trailer and haul it up there too. That will make a picture!
