just bought 6112, will run at the 1.3" lift. thinking 275/60/20 discoverer at3 4s. 1794 MGM. wish me luck! will post pics when done

didnt go for UCA or diff drop, don't think the mild 1.3" will stress out my components enough to warrant it. am i wrong?

Going to set mine at 1.9
Rear will remain with what’s on there now which is stock spec KYB shocks with airlift airbags.

I see a lot of people going with tire size 275/70/18 or 285/70/18. What’s the benefit of 285 over the 275? What tires have you been the most happy with?

im open to recommendations but thinking Toyo, BFG or maybe Coopers

oh and lastly the 6112 were in stock at shock surplus and boss off road last I checked

Not many choices in 285/70/18, just Nitto for AT’s.
My 6112’s are set at 1.9 with one DS shim and I went with 275/70/18 cooper at3 xlt’s. Look good in my opinion, they’re quiet but only have 1k mikes on em. 549A9927-8F39-4756-9CC9-017CC8D2F192.jpg

Little stiffer in the back on certain kinds of roads but otherwise can’t tell much difference from stock. Just taller. Not super impressed but not disappointed either. Rides fine, looks awesome.

That’s a good thing. If you have a budget you’re sticking to that narrows it down pretty good.

Is there a real big difference between the 6112/5160 setup and the pro suspension. 90% on road. Looking for a better gandling vehicle then the stock 4600’s 2019 limited trd off-road

It was night and day on my 2012 Tacoma and my '21 TRD front end is as soft as my dad's old Impala, so 6112's are on my buy-now list for sure. Stiff on the road but plush on fire roads and small whoops. Anyone know coil spring rate ???? OME #2614 medium weight springs = 740 lbf / in. for reference.

dropped my 6112 from 2.5 to 1.9 setting. Major on road ride difference. Much better! 6112 handle well and ride great now. I would not put them in the same class as say fox 2.5 or king. But half the price. Your money

No-cutting, No BMC. Removed front mud flaps, Had to use heat gun with a mini ball to push-in front plastic liners about 1/2"-1", Bend stock skid plate up out of way to clear tires when making U-turns. NO rubbing now and rides awesome.

Installation was done in SoCal (Orange County) at Allen Tire in Yorba Linda. Jose is the manager there and they are AWESOME. If you need this done give them a call. According to David (@Coachbuilder1) all his parts were installed properly, they forgot to swap-out the OEM bushings for the rear shackles, but I brought it back and they installed the poly bushings in about 30min. Class A customer service as well.

David (@Coachbuilder1) is awesome, helped me out and everything went perfectly. Here are some pics.

Has anyone installed these on a SCSB? I've searched every page and don't any of them lifted with these shocks.

After lots of reading I’ve decided to not only join the forum, but order some parts myself. Awaiting delivery on a 2021 trd sport premium (Canadian model) double cab. I just ordered 6112/5160, one 1/4”coachbuilder shim for the drivers side, and coachbuilder +2 shackle kit. Still deciding on the 1.9” or 2.5”. Planning to run a tire in the 275/65r20 range.

If u tow or haul heavy load 1.9 is gud, level without load should go 2.5

That’s about what I figured. I tow a 18.5’ fishing boat a few times a year and my 26’ camper during hunting season.

2.5 was too rough for me, 1.9 was perfect and still have rake. You cant see it with your eye though. Also did spc upper control arms and dif drop.

My truck rides extremely smooth on 6112 (top setting), i didn't need UCAs and I'm running 35s, with +3 Shackles in the back on 5160s

i could tell it wasnt as smooth as stock for sure. Truck handles well, but when i hit a pothole or bad road , the ride was harsh. just my experience. If i had to do over i would have went with fox 2.5
