What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

@james@tech12volts - Was looking at your site. You going to get any more in stock? I have a 2020 Tundra SR5. I believe non-jbl.

 

I need to do this, the speakers suck. Did you leave the stock amp?

Rotated rear sway bar 90 degrees, significantly improved.

 

Did the oil chg plus annual skid plate refurb today. To save time come undercoating time I also Fluid filmed everything metal under the skid plate while I had it off (and the back side of it) and sprayed VHT on the visible side after cleaning up with a wire wheel and an acetone wipe down. I used to use tremclad/rustoleum on the outside but with rust by spring every time I decided to try this stuff instead. Seems to be pretty tenacious and dried super qk. More of an epoxy-like finish than paint. Hoping she holds up for longer as looks like a new part now.

Finally new wheels and tires. Got rid of my 20 inch platinum wheels and found these TRD 18” wheels on Craigslist and got new BFG K02 275/70/18. Super excited it changes the whole look of the truck. I also recently put on my c4 overland series bumper.

 

So front went to 41 rear at 42 both from ground to top of wheelwell

 

Took a ride across the causeway today...so did everybody else...

 

Parked it next to a quicksand PRO

 

Mounted this today.

I had trouble with it but it may have been the antenna I tried to pair it with. I then put an old mag mount antenna I had and it worked fine. This was in my 4R, have not installed it on the Tundra yet. Anyway that company has half way decent prices and service. Good luck with your choice

 

Got rid of chrome bumper ends and painted whole bumper to match

bumper looks a little darker in pic cause rest of truck is dirty. Need to wash!

Running boards, chrome delete (replaced with blacked out badges), tonneau cover, exhaust tip (black), black rims with TRD logo in center that’s red and bed liner. Got some blacked out bumper shell covers that are on the way. Next is a leveling kit. So pretty much giving mine the black and red look.

Also, have the 2019 Tacoma for Monday-Thursday driving.

Ignore some of the reflections and rain. Have to love when it rains in the sunshine state.

 

Cleaned up the Turd, she has been neglected for the past month.

Got the new suspension setup on the way, cannot wait for the readylift kit to be gonez

 

Im gonna have to do that too.

 

I replaced the shift knob with this TRD knob.... It shifts much better now...

 

Not to mention, the extra HP.

 

Pro-tip... If you screw the shift knob all the way and back it off 1 turn you get the most HP gain possible.
