I drove a Tesla for the past 5 years and you’d hear every damn squeak and rattle in that car because it was so silent. With the Tundra I just crank the tunes and hit the gas…haven’t heard a single rattle yet!

 

my thoughts are get it now before Toyota whores out the LR color to lower trim levels in ‘22. You might have a lot more competition for that plate in the future.

true! but they already did with the rav 4. I've seen so many LR rav 4 and only one tundra and 4 runner.

 

I'm hoping since it's a new model, they'll roll out new colors and LR won't be one. Possible confirmation bias of my wishful thinking that our LR Pros may be the lowest production color Tundra ever haha

 

I'm hoping for the same, but my hunch is they'll include it as a bridge to the new model. "Look, it's all new but has the same colors you all know and love".

So now that i have a vin number and build date.How do i track it. Does the dealership have to set something up?I went to Toyota website for vin check but it just give me info on what the truck has.

From what I understand, that’s what you have. When it actually goes into build, the VIN you have will actually say “invalid” until you get your real one - there is a character in it that changes when it actually hits into production.

Just had my truck in for its 10k mile service. Well, they definitely rotated the tires because the area around hole where the lug goes is all banged up from the impact wrench. It’s not super noticeable but if of course just like the rest of you I love my truck. Question is do I say something or is this just part of the normal wear and tear?

That is not acceptable. I would take it to them pronto, point out the damage and ask how they plan to repair their damage.

You’re absolutely right. Being that it’s Saturday night I emailed the Service Manager and copied the assistant service manager, general manager and vp of guest experience.

just a little history. This is the second Tundra who’s wheel were marked up by a service technician. Last time they ended up replacing the wheels. They were just the TRD off road wheels. This time the BBS Forged pro wheels might be a harder pill to swallow.

 

At the same dealership? Yikes. But at the same time, even more reason they should have been more careful - you’ve already had that happen before!

kind of stuck.

 

Exactly what RainMan says... That is what happened to me..... and when it goes "invalid" your about 15 days away from driving your truck!!!!

makes our LR tundras that much more rare!
