    Wow. Good luck!
I wish him luck too. Lots of hot weather to water in.
We rented a house in San Diego once. The owner ended up being a huge POS…but that’s another story. Anyway a few days before we moved in they had it sodded. Wanted us to water twice a day everyday or something. Our first partial water bill was like $600. Never watered it again. Also ended up moving out about two months after we moved in…due to that other story.

I wanted to sod my back yard after the other landscaping. Thanks to this weather I’m leaning more and more towards turf instead.

I did turf down here in Cali. Love it. Feels and looks amazing... but we also didn't cheap out on what style we did.

Check the build link in my signature.
My brother's BIL just ripped out all his grass and put in sod a week ago. Looks good, and essentially zero maintenance.

The turf products have greatly improved over the last several years. The sports surfaces are amazing now and the products for yards are pretty awesome. The different styles with tri-color strands and the different fiber twists make it look very natural and feel great.

I installed a sports field in 2012 with top of the line products and the stuff available now blow it away.

Oh sweet. My brother is also checking his suppliers. If I don’t hear anything in a couple hours I’ll send you a pm. I have tomorrow off so I could drive to the couve again.

Edit: I just watched a video on the capacitors. The top of mine is bubbled if I recall from
    Looking at it yesterday.

Looks like they only have a two terminal cap, don't know if that will work for Carrier AC's but I dont think so.

This is my fear with sod. I did my front yard with Scott’s seed and other Scott’s products. Had a friend from work that maintained golf courses come help me. Turned out great. That was last year. Currently looks like a neglected desert lot. Hope it comes back in the fall.

My daughter plays socccer on turf…well usually. I wanted to turf ours to match what she plays on and to make a small putting area for my son. Plus then I don’t have to mow or water. One of my BIL just bought a house and the entire yard was turfed a while ago.

Any particular brand to look for..or avoid? I follow a couple turf/landscape companies and their stuff looks good. But I don’t know the manufacturer.

We went with a local company to install. The manufacturer is Global Syn Turf. 15 year warranty, and honestly feels pretty authentic if you are paying attention when you step on it. PXL_20210527_000657056.PANO.jpg

Fireworks have likely been banned due to the dry grass, but I’m loving the forecast for this weekend.

    Fireworks banned here :(

I’m not going to teach my kids how to be intitled assholes and that when a ban is in place we still light off fireworks.

…so they are staying where they can light them off. :D

LOL. We celebrate no matter what, but the level of game is adjusted to the situation. This year will be a good one. I just gave my son $300 for the rez tomorrow and told him to get grandpa to help with the negotiating.

    That’s awesome…

It is always good to send the kids off. Love ‘em, but…

We are up in Birch Bay this weekend. The entire bay goes bananas. All these summer homes have a battle of the biggest. I’m talking 10-20 mortar tubes nailed to a big board and all of it wired to the same fuse. And it goes from dark until midnight

That's only like 10:30pm to midnight being so far north (kidding, kind of).

Snohomish County always sounds like a warzone. We are camping up in Bow and hoping it's quiet all weekend.

Previously had a dog that absolutely lost his shit every 4th. Miss that good ol boy.

I am interested to see how the neighborhood sounds this year. Use is not banned where I live, but being discouraged. We have a smallish stash we plan to light off in the street with the hose and fire extinguisher near by just in case.

Picked and prepped 10 artichokes this morning. Will cook em about 80%, cool em off and vacuum seal for future salads or pizza DF2B461D-E81D-4AF5-AADD-0B4AB6052246.jpg
