I love the design cues of the 3rd gen, but prefer the smaller size of the older gens...

When the first GEN came out, I immediately loved it. A smaller truck with a V-8 really did it for me. And I thought it was damn good looking, even better with the proper mods. But, at the time I was all about the big three. So I really liked the first and second generation Dakota. (Not the third gen F that thing lol)

The second generation Tundra that came out was really impressive but I didn’t care for the looks initially. But it’s grown on me and I even considered getting one while shopping for the truck I have now. Honestly I didn’t even like the 2.5 (3rd) when I first saw it. But when I went to the dealer and got my hands on it, it just looked perfect to me sitting on the lot. I thought I wouldn’t change much, that’s out the window! But I did fall in love with it. I was hesitant, and I did catch heat from my friends for jumping ship, but it’s the best decision I’ve made in a long time.

I enjoy seeing it every time I walk out the front door. I think all the generations are good looking especially when they’re done up. I really liked the look of the second GEN rock warrior. I know it’s basically rims but it just looked bad ass off the lot. The father of one of my kids friends had a white one, that’s what made me go look for a tundra! That and my Hapa Japanese wife telling me to go look at the Toyota dealer LOL. (her family is all about Toyota). So here I am, I think my generation truck is the best looking LOL. But there’s a few first gens out there I’d love to have my stable. A RCSB or RCLB 1st gen looks really nice. I’d even consider an access cab. But I don’t care for the crew cab look as much. I don’t hate it, just don’t prefer it. But I understand the functionality of it. So the compromise for My needs is my current DC. I don’t have babies so I don’t need a huge cabin but I do need the four seats on occasion..

If you didn't vote for a first gen, you're either kidding yourself and need psychotherapy, or you just have questionable taste in trucks...and need therapy.

I’ve always liked the Crew cabs on all gens and double cabs on 2 & 3. Not a huge fan of G1 double or single cabs in general.

My biggest issue with the current Tundra(whatever Gen that might be), is that they are so damn big. The styling leaves a lot to be desired and they sometimes look like a big cloud with no clean lines. Occasionally though, I see one that I really like and yours is a good example of that. I like that grill.

I'm still extremely biased towards the 1st gens. I like 90's and early 00's Toyota and Lexus 4x4's.

I had to vote 1st Gen.

I always preferred the DC look over the look of the CM on the 2nd and 3rd gens. The 1st gens look more proportional with the larger cab than the 2nd or 3rd.

And because I am short the DC lucky provides more than enough room for the next ten years for the family and I…

I really tried to embrace the chrome at first. I just had the pro insert with the chrome surround. I think I had it like that for about four or five years. Then I saw the prices have gone down and decided to do another facelift. It revamped my enthusiasm for the truck again. Some black accents here and there and now I can’t keep my eyes off it. I really like your black gas door. That may be something I do in the near future! It’s the subtle tweaks like that that make it unique, yours and a little different than everyone else’s. For me, it was a world of difference just changing the front end up. I feel like this is the way the truck should’ve looked off the lot.

3rd gen by far. I prefer the TRD Sport look, but TRD OR is good too. The wheels on both look far better than the standard steel or alloy wheels on the regular SR5.

1st gen looked good and the styling has aged well, as it was very conservative. When the 2nd gen came out for 2007, they took some getting used to. Especially those tail lights with wings. Luckily a lot of the things that I did not like about the 2nd gen styling was fixed for the 3rd gen.

While I love driving the big truck, there are times when I really wish it was midsize. That’s why I love the first GEN‘s. When I bought it, I had just gotten out of a bad relationship with a Chevy LOL (I cut open the filter and found it was eating itself from the inside out) I just wanted something new or fairly new that I wouldn’t have to worry about. I didn’t feel like a project at the time. Knowing my wife’s car was getting older as well as young young teen that was going to be driving soon. Sometimes, I consider getting a newer daily commuter car and a really nice first GEN for camping and traveling. I think I could get about 40 grand for my truck right now LOL. But now I find it hard to part with.
Your truck looks well-rounded by the way! Love it

The 3rd gen DC is by far my favorite. I’m not a big guy either and the DC leaves more than enough room for my 5 to fit comfortably. Plus I really like having a bigger bed.

I was strictly going off looks but since you brought it up…the bed on the DC rocks. After owning the Tacoma with the 5 gallon Rubbermaid tote on the back, I REFUSED to get a 5 foot bed ever again…

Though I still loved that truck.

I guess it would make more sense to include aftermarket\custom options to show what it could become since we have a lot of talented tundra members here.

As far as second and third gen is concerned, I think the 2nd Gen looks best in Double Cab and 3rd Gen looks best in Crew Max. It just seems when the refresh was done and the harder lines on the truck were done the swooping rear of the cab on the double cabs was kind of an afterthought with the design, I guess they couldn't really do much about that because naturally it would've cost a fortune to change the rear design of the cab and the bed.
