Just for fun, when your rig is at home, does it live in a garage, or under an outdoor cover (carport, canopy), or is it fully exposed to the elements and the wrath of nature?

I'm a gentleman, I let my wife park in the garage; I'm also not an idiot - and while I have plenty of room in the garage to park both of our vehicles - I don't trust her enough to not hit my truck.

Garage, otherwise the Valhalla Shields guy would have another order.

My answer is "yes". :D Wherever I have room that day. Prefer the garage though. I've kept my Camry outdoors for years. Keep some good paste wax on it and they will shine for years. Tundra gets preferred parking.

Can it fit in my garage... yes.

    Does it... no.

Is it because my spouses car and all of our children’s crap is a much more important priority............no.

It’s because, the garage is my wood shop, paint booth, work shop, man cave, kegerator station, beer fridge location, bicycle shop, tundra disassembly area..

Wait.... yall have a garage a Tundra fits in?
I gotta back in my Tacoma so the bumper touches the drywall and tire is on the steps into the house, just so the garage door cross-member can be 1in from kissing the bumper.
That's mirrors folded in crawling out the passenger side.
Crewmax Tundra lives outside like the beast it is, Beside my Tacoma because well, perfection is hard to achieve every time. :boink:

We were fortunate enough to build and I made sure I built our garage a certain way to avoid this as well. Even the kids swing the doors wide open but still don't hit the wife's ride

I am a gentleman as well. I also let my wife park in the garage. I also park my truck and Z in the garage. One of the must haves when we bought our home was 3+ garage space. =) Win/win/win

Mine is under a canopy. Much like @The Californian, my wife gets the luxury spot of parking close to the house, while the tundra gets the side of the lot. I’m in the desert, so she’s dusty most of the time (the truck, not the wife).

Got the 3 car garage… got the tall door.. the truck fits, but after Covid, I now have the 3rd stall set up with a gym and cardio area.
My ancient VW now takes up the space the truck would sleep in. I just keep wax on it and wash it as needed.

I'm a gentleman. My wife has her own 12x24 garage and I have my own 22x24 garage. :rofl:The two are attached but divided.

I should have taken her up on building a 30'x36' shop instead of this never ending patio project that will end up costing more than a garage.

lady’s car and my Tacoma are in the garage. Sucks when I look outside and in my view, four of my neighbors have three car garages, most of them don’t park in the garage.

This is something that has really stood out to me lately. We do a lot of fundraiser sales (door to door) with our kids for their various activities. Roll up on a house, multiple cars in the driveway, garage is a man cave with TV, couches, beer fridge, etc.

Window scraping or snow, the truck sits inside. Also the threat of hail or guests need the driveway it goes inside. I use every bit of my side of the garage and have to exit through the passenger side. A whole lot cheaper and easier than getting a house with a bigger garage. The Tundra is not that much longer than the Tacoma Long Bed 4 door I had.

The wife’s Highlander always gets the garage. Only thing that gives me a hassle is storing both snowblowers if they are needed during big snows. A shed stores mostly everything else.

Yeah, I’ve always been big on “cars go in the garage” but can only fit two and a motorcycle but I sold that a while ago. most of my neighbors just have all their crap in it with just a small walk way to get through. One of my neighbors has a man cave with couches, a small bar and big screen.

Wife's car lives in the garage. When the Tundra isn't being used a ton (is my daily commuter, but I'm still working from home) it gets the cover. Wash it first, then cover it up. Keeps the sun, rain, and tree debris off it.IMG_20210520_083558_01.jpg

I have two garage doors under my house. One opens to an area deep enough for two cars, but is full of other stuff. The other side is not deep enough for a Tundra and my Miata lives there. I am planning to build a 32x40 detached garage in a year or two. I'm still not sure it will be big enough for everything I want to put in there but I live on a mountain and don't have enough flat land near the house for anything bigger. The alternative would be for me to sell some of my motorized toys, but I don't see that happening.

Enough room in the Garage for my Tundra and the wife’s Nissan Armada. Got about a foot to spare lengthwise for the Tundra, but it fits. I normally back it in so I can use the camera and backup sensors to get close to the wall. We are a bit tight width wise, kids understand that they have to wait until my wife backs out to get in the car. There is enough room, but if the door were to swing, it would hit. So far so good. Tundra is a weekend vehicle because I work in an oil refinery and have a commuter car for that, it sits in the driveway. Daughter will be driving herself in a few months so the days of her riding with us are short lived.

tell me about it. I have a natural canopy of trees, but pisses me off to no end I built my house custom and made my garage tall enough to fit my truck but the width and size is not. My tree canopy works well for shade and helps with hail but not quite as good as a garage
