The Ram is pretty consistent in it's ability to land at the bottom of reliability lists.

And the "Industry Average" is a 49? I'm not mathematician - but I'm assuming there must be a lot of shitty trucks down below there to make that the average.

I agree. My loaner was a Chevy and it drives like a couch on wheels. Floating all over the place. I prefer tundras ride but I may be biased. Put a Pedal commander in the 18 and you’re good to go

More like on their own terms. I'm calling BS on that particular graph. GM is above Ford? And Nissan is number two? Yeah, Nissan is number TWO alright ... Nissan is the Dodge of the Asian car world, no way they're that high.

I’ve driven one plug-in hybrid and it works like a regular hybrid, electric only and also gas only. It had a switch on the dash. It has regenerative braking and charges by the gas station also.

hers a link that describes better than me.

It's a double edged sword. If they info dump too soon before they are available then it could wind up being like the new Bronco. Lots of people were stoked when they saw and could spec them out, but have gotten bored and moved on due to wait times.

@Ahab quoted me, but may have quoted others, so I'm not certain your comment was directed toward me. Which kind of proves my point about this thread's direction of travel.
IF you were speaking to/about me:
I am far from a fanboy, and I didn't overpay on anything. An object is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. I did tons of research before I bought a Tundra. I knew EXACTLY what I was getting (except for the trans cooler), and the Tundra being what it is was the reason for my purchase. At the time it was a 17-18 year old proven platform. I specifically got a '19 over a '20 to avoid the AA and Carplay, because I've had them and didn't like it.
I've also encouraged many members here as they opt for different vehicles that better suit their needs, and I also tell them to stick around and post pics of their new rigs. This is a community first,, and a place for Tundra fans second.. that's why it's a great forum.

I don't agree with anyone being an asshat and telling you to leave because you bought an F150. I also don't agree with you continually running down anyone who would prefer their old outdated truck and assessing as them low intelligence or income rather than believing that freethinking individuals might have truly valid reasons for making different choices than you have.

As stated above, this is a community first and isn't restricted to being a Tundra echo chamber. Several mods and members have moved to new rigs because the Tundra's shortcomings happen to be the exact points those members need most. They don't have to leave just because they needed something the Tundra didn't have.

To stay on topic, I'm stoked to see what Toyota is going to do with the new truck. I reserve all judgement on anything that's not officially released until such time as Toyota makes it official. I refuse to assume that I know what the power plant is or what its capabilities are at this point.
My interest is purely as a window shopper, though. My current Tundra fits my needs perfectly, and I have no desire to replace it. The only way I'd consider that would be for bigger towing, and if I'm going that route... F350 with the Godzilla Gasser in it. :yes:I really really like what I am seeing on that setup.

Both the Prius and RAV4 Prime have a “charge mode” that you can activate. I’m not sure of its efficiency but it pretty much uses the gas engine to charge up the battery with a small hit to gas mileage. Only really effective at 50 mph and up too. I recently returned my sisters Prius prime and got a RAV4 prime and I feel the regen on the Prius works better.

IF IIHS wants to run offset vehicle to vehicle collisions as a standard, I'm all for it. And yeah of course mass wins, that is why this is a stupid test. How many people accelerate into concrete walls that aren't trying to commit suicide?

I wouldn't say this test is flawed, I'd say it is intentionally dishonest and designed to trick ignorant people to get less safe (smaller or lighter) vehicles because they tend to have favorable crash test ratings. There is nothing different about the front end of a DC and CM. Yet the DC does substantially better in this test because it is lighter. Well if the meth head in the old excursion hits me head on the passenger side, I'd rather be in my heavier CM, than the lighter DC.

    see sig for mods.....
Not necessarily, a 'plug in hybrid' works just like a hybrid, but also has a longer full electric mode with lower mileage range usually 30-50 miles that is charged by plugging it in. Once the electric charge is gone, it operates like a normal hybrid.
