Hooked up the 5er and drove her home, 450 miles. B&W Companion hitches and pulls like butter. Brake controller (set to electric, 5000lbs+) with the self adjusting brakes on RV as well. Passed by countless semis on i80, zero sway or fishtail. 9mpg at 60mph

Maybe a tad bit more air in the firestones needed, now at 10psi

truck looks good and glad to hear it did well! seems like you're still within your truck's limits and it handled great. curious as to what kind of tires you're runnin in terms of rating and what psi you had them in for it?

I thought the 28 feet was fairly reasonable and one of the smallest I could find. Def not a 2 bedroom apartment

Got the new decals put on the side that were sent to me during secret santa. I had some distressed flags on it, but they would catch on my MF cloths while wiping down in certain parts of the flag, so I opted to take them off before ceramic coating. now that time has passed, I finally got to put these on. just in time for Independence Day!:oldglory:

Color matched my tow hooks and got my dash ripped apart for installation of 55405-0C020-C1 (black middle/stereo trim)

I originally tried painting the piece but left stripper on it too long and cracked all the plastic ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bought overnight shipping but with 4th of July weekend upon us it’s gonna sit like this for a few days….F22B43E3-565B-4123-A7AB-D3DB5DE3AFBC.jpg B6F8A602-6122-4684-A112-7931BD76C691.jpg

That dash is always fun to tackle. I had to do that twice.

Exactly why I’m just waiting for the part to arrive rather than run my truck with a cracked up peeling panel and have to take it apart again haha

So after 24 hours... seems to be working as described. Buttons are responsive all around and no hangs. Pairs up in 30-40 seconds after all the standard Toyota 'announcements' leave the screen. Quick question - is there a way to make it NOT switch my audio source to iPhone? I like that it goes straight to my Waze but not the dead silence...

Just got in a little weekend mod from @james@tech12volts. Supposed to be straight forward for non-JBL set ups.

got an alignment sheet? I just ordered mine, can’t wait to put em on. Did you have any issues getting the long bolt in/out?

I had a local shop do it. I'll post the sheet later on.

The bolts are easy to do. You don't have to remove anything at all other than opening a couple of clamps and unbolting one on the frame.

I have the CarLinkit for wireless Apple Carplay and mine does this as well. It doesn't hijack audio with all my apps, and it doesn't do it every time with Waze, but it is annoying when it does! I have no clue how to disable the audio hijacking.

Finally put my DD pro fog lights and my yota leds in the grille. Turned out nice. Very happy with both products and installation. :)

That's prolly a fair assessment of what mine does... it doesn't hang up but its not consistent on how it starts each time but not really a killer. I def like just jumping in the truck and rolling out instead of fumbling with a cord. But to be fair, I think it did the same thing when I physically plugged it into the cord too.

@jimbrophotodotcom - do you see the same thing at start up with the Carplay2air unit?

Went to the landfill and got my clean truck filthy with dump dirt. Took a bunch of stuff from my in laws garage to the storage unit. I LOVE having a truck. So much better than renting a U haul or taking 5 trips in a car. Right in the middle of moving two families out of state in less than a month. Good times.

I removed the back half of mine. Friggin oil curled around on the drain plug during an oil change and pooled up on the back half of the skid plate. That made one hell of a mess in the garage. The front half made filter changes much easier though!

Good choice! I installed my 8 ball about 6 months ago, and added the boot shortly thereafter. I wasn’t really diggin’ the infinity style number 8, so I kept looking until I found this one.

    Installed some RIGID clear covers.

I recommended dremeling a little off the side, this will make fitment easier (as I did above).

Also when installing them I recommended installing the side of the cover facing the outside of the vehicle first and then pushing the other side in.

Finally finished my AJT black out interior pieces, installed my dual led light switch (ditch and light bar) to the lower dash panel, and also installed these black and red interior mats for cupholder, empty spaces, etc.
