Tail Pipe Hanging Down

Back story, in 2019 I ordered and installed a @dirtydeeds 8" BAmuffler on my 2017 and all was good. A few months later I traded that truck in for a 2020 and had the dealer swap the muffler. Not long after I noticed my tail pipe sagging so I straightened it and tightened the clamp. Not long after that it was doing it again and now basically flopping. I ordered a new gasket and went through the motions to seat it and tighten the clamp a little at a time just like on my 2017. Well now the tail pipe is dangling and flopping again. I'm thinking I need a new clamp and gasket. I've tried to find the part numbers and I believe the gasket is 90917-06093 but I don't know the number for the clamp. Anybody know?

 

There are rubber soft mounts that suspend the muffler and tailpipe and prevent it from sagging, but allow for some movement.

I installed the same BAMuffler and have not had anything like you’re describing occur.

From your description, are you sure the dealer mounted everything correctly?

 

I installed it on my 2017 no problem. Dealer switched it to my 2020, I've tightened the clamp and also replaced the gasket. The rubber hangers are keeping it from dragging the ground but the bend over the axle is making contact with the heat shield and rattling on bumps. The muffler came with a new gasket that I put on my 17, dealer ordered one for the 20, and I ordered one. Just want to confirm my part number for the gasket and get the part number for the clamp. My dealer is 2 hours away so I want to order these and do them myself. Truck looks like it has a donkey d**k hanging from the back.
