I have been on several with a similar policy. I don't think I have seen it on any of these web properties though.

Stock notch-back foxes are as ugly as stock FGTs are grandpa trucks.
Minor adjustments to ride height, wheels, & tires sort them both right out.

There's a special place in my heart where I am able to muster hate from every fiber of my being for convertibles.

This. The godforsaken Chrysler Sebring convertible triggers me, tho. If anyone wanted to make a social statement it the 90's, just hop in this bastard of a car.

Neither have I and will simply keep personal opinion private. Have moderated few forums way back in the day but things have changed drastically since then. Out of curiosity, I did a quick site search for politics and member @Bob the HMIC, ten posts came back and truth was in all of them.

I believe that's been mentioned before and the answer was isn't going to happen because it's too easy for hard feelings to spill over into the rest of the forum so they avoid it all together.

I would ask why folks can't just show some self control, and not discuss politics here? Especially after getting multiple 30 day suspensions and warnings. We know it's one of the few rules here and this isn't a democracy. We're all guests. It serves no purpose. Nothing I say is going to convince someone here to change their voting habits.

Not only that but there are literally a million places on the internet you can go argue with strangers about politics. Hell, that's 90% of what Facebook is these days.

I see your point, but hear me out.
I scrolled through the banned member thread and a lot of people got the hammer for posting pictures, memes, GIFs, political innuendo, and for talking about the pandemic. You don't have to go on a 10,000 word diatribe to fall astray of the guideline on politics. I understand that the intent of orthodoxy is to keep the flock on the same page. It seems to me that as forums continue to wither die in the wake of social media that they would do what they could to prevent expatriation. Consider how many active members we have in the FGT forum. Talk about a niche. Or maybe there aren't enough members for the Forum to miss us. IDK. I'm just asking questions as a member who doesn't want to lose the cumulative knowledge on these pages.

In their mothers womb the baby sharks which mature first are known to eat their siblings before being born into the ocean.

I think that model of mustang looks like that baby shark...

And the siblings it ate were Escorts from the same year

Speaking of which, there is now 1000 pages of "cumulative knowledge" of what's been done today on our tundras that I wish was categorized....random thought !

This is true but they typically give multiple warnings before a permanent ban. It's not like you slip up and say the wrong thing once and you are immediately banned for life. I'm personally thankful we don't have politics here. I think they are 100% right that even if you had a dedicated politics section it would boil over to other sections of the forum. Not only that but I'm sure they don't have the time to deal with the extra moderation that would require. The mods don't get paid enough for that. :)

It is pretty easy to get sucked into the large social media sites because you can talk about any topic.

I have always been a big fan of forums that offer non public posting space. This is the first one that does not that I have been involved with in years.

What good is politics when we can talk about peeing in the shower? Have a good long think about whats really important. And if other dudes urination and shower habits arent at the top of the list, then theres something wrong with you.

I never cared for the all the trim pieces associated with the Camaro Z28 or Mustang GT back in the late 80s. Added cost for little return. The only good thing back then was that you could add almost all options piecewise and build the car you want rather than selecting expensive packages to get 1 or 2 options you desire. I will admit at least the IROC Z28 looked better than the basic Camaro.

Kind of like the complete difference in look of the 95 4wd Tacoma over the 2wd version.

One of my favorite made up ?idiom?s is when a girl has on too much makeup, too much jewlery, too much hair was ‘she’s dressed up like a pontiac’. I dont remember ever hearing that from anyone, but it was the 90’s and i wasnt a fan of the ‘flair’.

Im a fan of the quad-4 2.3 so id take a 92-94, but gm’s cant keep all the lightbulbs on at the same time. People would use the wrong coolant and pop headgaskets. The a/c was weak, and the plastic lasted all of 5 years.

Were there outburst(s) from PHM and/or Rex over the weekend that differed from their daily banter? Or just a cumulation of political posts & historical bans that led to the perma-ban? No one has to recite anything, I just wasn't on much this weekend and am curious if a more crucial event led to the outcome.

The PelicanParts forum I'm on has a religion and politics area that has yet to spill into the technical forums, classifieds forums, regional forums, or anywhere else I've visited in the last 4 years.

"Affordable" is a word one can use when deciding whether to purchase a 1st Gen or a turd. At other times it does not take a "super duper decoder ring" to interpret what was meant by the use of "affordable"....but I'm just spitballin !

That's really just a google search without your own special tweaks to get you to see things their way.

One of the tech guys here can do a better joB of explaining it than I can.
