Ended up around 2” in the front even with CB+2 in front. Eibach 2. Rides great even without alignment yet!

When I first posted these pictures the initial estimate by the insurance company was $3600..after the autobody looked into it, the final cost is $6700 and 3 weeks needed to do it. It's only been 3 days in the shop and I'm going through separation anxiety. The Volkswagen atlas rental is no substitute.

Got most of the water system done today. 16 gallon tank where the spare used to go with a 12v water pump in the bed (storage area left after the drawer build). Waiting on some parts to finish the quick-connects for the hose but otherwise mostly done. Also the drivers side exhaust touches the mounts for the tank a bit so to get rid of rattle I ordered some high-temp silicone sheet that i'll wrap the exhaust with at the contact point. I guess by the end of summer we'll see if this holds up to the North Maine Woods trails. If it's gonna come loose, it'll happen there.

    Water tank under the truck:
    image0.jpg
    image2.jpg

12v pump installed next to my drawer system in the passenger "storage" area:
    image6.jpg

Had to do some cutting behind the passenger tail-light to get the water feed and outlet hoses through:
    image4.jpg
    image7.jpg

And finally I get water levels on my Victron Cerbo GX! Latest firmware update supports up to 4 tank level senders without their add-on tank sender module.

Picked up my Valhalla cat plates today. Got them installed in about 2 hrs. Those rear RCI bolts really are a pain in the ass. I could only get the passenger side tightened. Had to call in 'professional' help for the drivers side.

Eventful day today! @Azblue and I (mostly Azblue) fabricated some brackets to get my "open box" steps on my tundra finally. Received them and they were missing the brackets that connect the arms under the truck to the steps so they have been sitting I'm my garage for months. Azblue whipped up some brackets out of scrap metal and they were installed in an afternoon. I snapped some pics of our tundras meeting and he's got some pics of the install. Great guy and I really appreciated the help. After that ran some errands until it got a little cooler outside and decided to get my oil changes done on the Tundra and 4runner. This was my first oil change since I purchased the Tundra in March so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was more time consuming then my 4runner but I made sure and installed the fumoto valve so next time it will take slightly less time. The oil came out fairly clean, was still somewhat golden in color so I figured that was good but when I went to replace the filter it looked like it had been through hell. I'm not sure if this is normal because I'm use to the can style but to me it looked like crap. Replaced with royal purple fill synthetic and a k&n oil filter. I also was surprised to find this little thing stuck to the side of my oil pan, followed the cord up to a 3 headed extension cord hidden in my lower bumper! The other 2 plugs went to a heater on the block and one under the battery. Since they will never be needed where I live I pulled the oil pan one and left the rest for another day.

Yep, it was nice to meet you in person, and thanks for the beer. It was a bit warm in the garage but like I said, I always enjoy doing fab projects like that. It went well and the steps look great on the truck. A few pics.

Royal Purple Synchromax is what I use in the transfer case and Royal Purple lists it as comparable to the Toyota LF golden child oil that you will never find at a decent price. Anyway the Synchromax is good stuff and mega cheaper than LF

    I fixed the sound. LOL

Background - installed a custom sound system (or rather, HAD it installed) last May. Sometime in December the right front speaker would occasionally cut out; and a few weeks ago the installer recrimped the RCA plug going into the input. (I wasn't aware that was even a thing.)

Anyways....about 2 weeks ago I thought I lost all sound in my truck, minus the dash speakers; so I knew it was something with the amp. Brought it to two different installers, and neither of them seemed to know what the deal was. After doing some other stuff yesterday I thought "It sounds great....just very low."

While looking at the amp, I realized the original installer had somehow gotten the RCA input wires wrapped around the seat sensor wiring. After rerouting it, I thought "That sensor wiring is corrugated....I wonder if something got messed up."

As I read the manual I noticed the "Input Level" switch, and it had this note: "If there are speaker-level inputs and no sound is coming out, flip the switch to HI2."

So I did....and magically all sound was back.

You know those front bumpers are pretty nice. They dont stick out to much like some other after market ones. I might have to look into getting one. I dont like their rear bumper though the gap in between the bumper and tailgate is way to big imo

I have the Road Armor rear bumper. I have a solution for the gap that covers the holes. I'll take pics after I get yard work done before rain moves in. Let me know if you do plan to order the RC. I have a discount code that you can try and see if it works for you.

Sometimes you can contact other dealers and let them know what your going through and they can help. My friend got a vehicle fixed under the extra warranty from a different dealer because the original one wouldn't honor it.
