What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I ordered the tvd decals for the emblem but yet again got burned, because it's aftermarket the letters are slightly larger and the sticker didn't fully cover them. I want to paint it just to make it look a bit cleaner but I'm also trying to find time to install the bumper caps and black lower center piece with the RC light bar in it. Maybe I'll do it all at the same time since the grille needs to be taken off for the rest to be replaced. Wish I had more time but stupid work takes most of that up.

 

My bumper came that way from the factory. SR5 with SX package.
(Color keyed grill surround, bumper caps, rear bumper).

 

loaded these up to take to the local tire shop. First time at this particular place...the manager seemed to know what he was doing. He even checked my ebay sourced TPMS sensors to make sure they worked before install. Now to wait for them to be mounted.

 

Tried that, see above. I'm also looking at DBcustoms for a new grille that will go in my color matched surround and glow like my original plan. One day my tundra will look like yours. Rims will hopefully be the most expensive part.

Yeah. Saw you tried TVD letters. I haven’t had great luck with them. I just buy bulk vinyl in the color/pattern I want, and use a hair dryer and a sharp knife.

I have the same one but had it Line-X'ed.

 

Wrapping up putting CB+2’s and rear shocks now. Put Eibach stage II in front now that rear is done.

 

On the front bumper, post a pic of the side where it meets the wheel well and also the top of the bumper just below the headlight panel. After I see it I have an idea that you might like. Also, did you have any issues where the 4 flag bolts attach? I haven't called RC yet but I have one hole that is over 1/2 inch off. I'll take pics of it in a little while.

 

I agree, however, since the trailer load is always changing: unloaded, loaded with mower, loaded with tractor, loaded with hay, etc. The Weight Distributing Hitch would constantly have to be adjusted. That is why I was thinking of the active suspension since it "self adjusts" to the load.

I would certainly use a WDH if i were to tow a travel trailer or other more consistent load.

 

That makes sense. I have a travel trailer and it definitely is a must have for that.

Gotcha. I will call them next week. I was looking to see if the side of yours lined up with the edge of the wheel well. Mine is off just a tad because I have flares. I have 1/2 inch shims on mine.

Put together the B&W companion for the 5th wheel. This allows to convert to gooseneck ball for the horsetrailer, or just empty box altogether.

Changed the cabin air filter with a Denso so-called OEM replacement. Even though Denso is the OEM manufacturer, the Denso-badged version is slightly longer and wider than the OEM. It may be 1/2 the price, but it just doesn't fit as well. For the curious, it's

Cut a deal for a 4runner and will use that to get into another tundra when they release the hybrids.
