It is an education problem. I was never taught any of this in school. The further we move from the natural world the harder it will get to understand and observe how these things work.

Speaking of plastics, does this look healthy to you?

I wonder how much more it would have cost to make that out of aluminum? Mine has some of those cracks too.

That plastic is reaching the end of it's useful lifespan. Throw it in the ocean.

Carbon Definition: a widely distributed element that forms organic compounds in combination with hydrogen, oxygen, etc., and that occurs in a pure state as diamond and graphite, and in an impure state as charcoal. Symbol: C; atomic weight: 12.011; atomic number: 6; specific gravity: (of diamond) 3.51 at 20°C; (of graphite) 2.26 at 20°C.

Footprint Definition: a mark left by the shod or unshod foot, as in earth or sand.
an impression of the sole of a person's foot, especially one taken for purposes of identification.
Informal. the track of a tire, especially on wet pavement.

Carbon dioxide is a gas consisting of one part carbon and two parts oxygen. It is one of the most important gases on the earth because plants use it to produce carbohydrates in a process called photosynthesis. Since humans and animals depend on plants for food, photosynthesis is necessary for the survival of life on earth.

    catalytic converter

    noun
an antipollution device in an automotive exhaust system that contains a catalyst for chemically converting some pollutants in the exhaust gases, as carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons, and oxides of nitrogen, into harmless compounds.

Petroleum was discovered in Titusville, Pennsylvania. It’s been called “the most important oil well ever drilled” because it marked the beginning of the modern petroleum age. Petroleum had been discovered elsewhere, of course, but this was the first well successfully drilled in search of the stuff. Locals had noticed oil seeping from the ground for years; evidence even suggests that Native Americans harvested the oil for medicinal purposes as early as 1410, and European settlers had long used it to fuel their lamps and lubricate their farm machinery. A New York lawyer, George Bissell, had the idea to somehow collect the oil, refine it, and sell it commercially, and he co-founded the Pennsylvania Rock Oil Company to that end.

No. It began when Locals (Chief Has Eagle Eye) noticed it bubbling on the ground and used it on his boat to be the first Polluter. Actually, its Earths fault for bubbling to the surface and creating Natural Tar Pits and stuff.

Not according to Texas A&M https://etweather.tamu.edu/rainhistory/ and West Texas is in a severe drought. Who here's actually making random comments meet their agenda.

Don't forget - your adding in Hurricane Harvey, which is a once in 1000 year event. Climate change is not about hot/cold or rain - it's about extremes.

But just keep your head in the sand, cite anecdotal evidence, and tell other what you should have learned in school.

Ha ha - you're hilarious, thanks for the laugh.

    1) How extreme was the Mini-Ice Age?

    2) What happens when the Earth Axis shifts (because it can)?

    3) Can you Prevent Solar Sun Flares?

    4) How do Carbon Credítz prevent all this?

    5) When are you selling your Gas Guzzler to be a good example to stop the thing you preach?

Yes, but then everything would be outrageously priced and everyone would be buying 2nd hand items. Much like in the past but before my time.

I can't see that happening in a world where everyone has to keep up with the Joneses. Maybe make manufacturers more responsible for single use plastics aka their garbage footprint?

Hey, we need that plastic garbage footprint. There's these two androgynous hunky surfer dudes who collect it with natives on small boats and make really dope dolphin bracelets, I seen the commercials. Reminds me of the 70s commercial with the Native American (actor was actually Italian) in the canoe with a tear in his eye. I support cottage industry and don't want to put them out of business. Yay plastic!

    Italian:
    Wiki -
"Iron Eyes Cody (born Espera Oscar de Corti, April 3, 1904 – January 4, 1999) was an American actor of Italian descent who portrayed Native Americans in Hollywood films,[2] famously as Chief Iron Eyes in Bob Hope's The Paleface (1948). He also played a Native American shedding a tear about litter in one of the country's most well-known television public service announcements from the group Keep America Beautiful.[3] Living in Hollywood, he began to insist, even in his private life, that he was Native American, over time claiming membership in several different tribes. In 1996, Cody's half-sister said that he was of Italian ancestry, but he denied it.[3][4] After his death, it was revealed that he was of Sicilian parentage, and not Native American at all."

I think this model does work. Consider products designed to last and to upgrade.

Do we really ever need more than one washing machine? We should get those as a wedding gift and never need another one for the rest of our lives.

What would you do if you had an extra $1k in the bank? I like to think that if people didn't have to spend all their hard earned cash on new cars and TVs and dishwashers over the course of 50 years they might do something good with that money in the end of their life. Maybe donate it to a park or something. They may also use it to add functionality to their life instead of replacing something they already had.

    What do you think?
