LED Headlight Burn Out....

I've seen a couple of different takes on optimal positioning, which is probably headlight reflector design dependent. I see a lot of 9 and 3 o'clock positioning recommended, which would be the side throw you describe. I've only got LED's in my daughter's car, and they are not properly clocked at this time. I noticed the poor light distribution and haven't adjusted them yet. Hers are a pain to reach.

 

I've read all these threads 'trying' to make heads or tails of what the best 'plug & play' replacement bulb is for my FGT. Fans, resitors , clocking, driver, module box, breather/heater, reflector bucket, lower spectrum filler . . .might as well be speaking Chinese. I guess I'll just stick to polishing my lenses. LOL

Once i get my lightbar i might go full amber. Replaced the sequoias way back when, and they lasted a year, and are way worse cracked. Plastic headlights and electric starters were the beginning of the collapse of men.

i guess this shot shows the difference only happens on top and bubbled plastic cant be fixed.

Grandpa ordered this truck. Also didnt get stickers and painted rear and mirrors.
Thanks. I cant prove it, but im pretty sure i talked him into painting over the chrome.

door trim is silver instead of chrome, but i dont know whether or not thats normal.

 

Mine before and after. Used Meguiars ultimate compound, polish then clear coat.

 

I use meguiers plastx, but grandpa has some special dried out pepto bismol looking stuff that works way better.

 

Installed and seem to be clocked properly...

I just realized i put my polishing pics on the wrong headlight thread. This must be the shame and embarrassment felt by 2nd gen folks posting pics in first gen threads.

You cannot fathom that shame. You cannot comprehend that embarrassment. To be shunned form one's family and friends is preferable.

 

At least that's the way I imagine it...
