HELP -- Flashing 4hi-4lo lights with other lights on??

    Hey guys, hoping someone can offer me some insight, 2012 Tundra RW 5.7 4WD, 150k miles, great condition, well maintained and serviced by dealer...

    Had the truck at the dealer on Friday, they did an oil change and tire rotation, drove it a few times over the weekend, roughly 100 miles. Delivered some small furniture to a buddy Monday at 10pm and parked it after. Started it today, and I got my ABS, BRAKE, Traction lights on, and my 4HI-4LO flashing at me. Any ideas?

    Fab tech on the 2000
    Did the Tech possibly bump the rear wheel sensor? Look under and make sure their intact.
    When I went to check codes it did not show anything.

    Plenty of research done on this. Wheel speed sensor. Follow the wires and find where its damaged and replace.

    Everything looks in tact so far. Both sensors look secure. I wanted to pull the plug and clean the terminals inside (might have gotten wet), but the plug doesnt seem to have a simple way to disconnect to view the terminals.

    Does the whole thing have to be replaced as a unit for the rear?

    I'm gonna try to pull the codes tomorrow.

    Yes, the rear is sold ready with both sides/wires joined together, from the main junction above the axle out to each wheel

    Ok gotcha, that's what it was looking like. Seems ridiculous that you cant just unplug and replace a sensor...

    I'll start trying to dig up a part number...

    Any aftermarket parts proven to be reliable? or is OEM the only way to go on this?

    So does the 89516B come with sensors also? or is that only the sub harness?

    Its the wire harness. Most likely the sensor in the hub itself isn't damaged, just the wire. If you do that's a different problem. The wire is very delicate and easy to nick, usually the culprit. Just look for some sort of wire damage first and eliminate that. Rear is easy and "cheap", front is more.

    Stupid simple solution to try. My truck flashes too. My switch to move to 4wd is loose.

    Sometimes I just have to turn it to 2wd more.
    It’s flipped to 2wd but flashes. If I just try and turn the knob (even though I can’t) it fixed my issue. Worth a try.
