    Hello!

I upgraded from my 2002 4Runner to a 2010 DC Rock Warrior last month to be able to tow my mustang to and from the track. I plan to do about 15-20 track weekends a year. For now, I will be towing my mustang (3800lbs) on top of a Uhaul transport trailer (2000lbs). I realized that one of the rear leaf spring is broken so I decided to replace them with General Springs KC. I am having a hard time deciding between the OEM or HD springs. I do not want to lift my truck but the HD springs provide ~1" lift. I plan to buy 6112/5160 so that I know would bring me back to stock rake but that wont be until the end of the year (maybe next). I also plan to get a set of Sumo Springs to prevent sagging. This is my first truck and first time towing. Should I go with the HD springs + Sumo Springs ? or will I be fine with the OEM replacements + Sumo Springs? Would I be fine with the 1500lb Sumo Springs? I do not want any sagging. Thanks for an advice! This is also my daily and the bed is pretty much always empty.

Also I cant seem to find an answer to this but was the Rock Warrior lifted higher in the rear than other Tundras? if so, that makes the decision easy

    Welcome to the site.

I would get a better spring, but not necessarily get a HD spring. That will be rough all the time.

If I remember right, the Rock Warrior was kinda like the Pro and leveled.

put some rake into it so you don’t have a saggy butt.

I’m not familiar with all the trims so I don’t know what the Pro suspension is like compared to a base Truck. The truck is far from leveled. Every aftermarket spring causes a lift. I reached out and read a couple threads and General Springs seems to be a great company.

I would want the rake, and if it’s only 1” and you plan on going with 6112/5160 shocks (nice choice btw), you will be more than happy.

No, same as the other models. Except larger tires. Factory leafs, ToyTec Boss 3/1.5 but lowered the front to about 2-3/4.. I often tow an older 21ft boat loaded up with fuel and gear comes in at about 5500lbs. Rides fine and damn near level. But still looks level unloaded?

The rock warriors were the same height as a standard trd offroad package. Yours looks high in back

Yup, I don't mind the rake at all. and figured it would level out when towing. I am doing the rear springs first so I will be without the 6112 for some time. I hope it does look too funny with an even more lifted rear. Thanks for the feedback!

Yup, I thought the only difference was larger tires and different shocks, but I wasn't sure because I am not familiar with all the trim levels/options over the years. Yours looks great!

When I look at other tundras on the road, they dont have the same rake as mine so leads me to believe that mine is higher than usual. I would thing that it having a broken leaf, it would be the other way around.
