I'm gonna clean up the interior tonight so I'll rub a towel in there with some soapy water and see if that helps.

I use the canned air on occasion to get the nooks and crannies clean, then wipe down and vacuum everything.

The rubber seals are probably degrading, and the rubber is smearing on the windows. It happens. Good news is it’s cheap and easy to replace.
I believe the front and rear doors are the same (verify that before ordering), so you’ll need two of each of these:

    68160-0C020
    68210-0C020

    https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-exterior-weatherstrip-681600c020?c=Zz1ib2R5JnM9ZXh0ZXJpb3ItdHJpbS1mcm9udC1kb29yJmw9MTUmbj1Bc3NlbWJsaWVzIFBhZ2UmYT10b3lvdGEmbz10dW5kcmEmeT0yMDE3JnQ9MTc5NC1lZGl0aW9uJmU9NS03bC12OC1nYXM%3D

    https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-par...yMDE3JnQ9MTc5NC1lZGl0aW9uJmU9NS03bC12OC1nYXM=

Takes maybe twenty minutes to swap them out and you don’t have to take the door apart.

@War Machine while I've got you, what are your thoughts on truck covers? I drive my tundra maybe 3 days a week and the rest of the time it sits outside my house. Today it's going to be 111° here in Tucson so that means summer is right around the corner. I was thinking about getting a cover for it but thinking about that cover rubbing against the paint makes me nervous, are there ones I can trust won't mess with my paint or should I avoid them and maybe get a stretched canvas cover across the top like a car port? Thanks.

I’ve never used one, but I’m like you. I’d think you’d get some paint damage from them. Tons of people use them, including people with some really nice cars. Maybe I’m wrong, but I can’t imagine it’s safe on the paint. I wouldn’t use one.

When I researched them it seems most of the marketing it pointed towards foreign objects damaging the vehicle but not if the cover itself has anything on the inside to protect the vehicle from it. I'll just order the shade cover and attach it to my house. It's not ideal because while it blocks the sun it does nothing for the dust and debris that blows on the truck. Maybe I'll get that futuristic car bubble I've seen online.

Don't use one. You just mentioned the dust, think about it, it's Tucson, wash your truck and 10 minutes later it will have dust on it. Add the cover and it'll work that dust against the paint like fine sandpaper.

Killed the mouse in my truck last night. Any pro thoughts on how to best clean my leather seats? I'm sure that the little bastard pissed on them. I'm going to remove all my seats and use the carpet cleaner on the floors. Just hoping for any suggestions on cleaning the leather, especially as it has those holes in it. Thanks for any suggestions!

Looking for advice on a quick product to use after washes to get rid of the scum leftover that leaves streaks down the sides of the truck out of the handles/badging etc. I know y'all will say handwash/clay/wax etc, but rn I'm working 6 days a week/12 hrs a day so don't have the time for that anymore. I usually take it to the wand wash and it cleans up good but after a couple months the grime sort of builds that base layer. Is there anything I can use after pressure washing that won't put small scratches all over the truck to wipe that stuff off? I take it to get detailed once a year but the in between times it starts to get a little greasy. Thanks

How do you guys remove paint scuffs/transfer? I have seen 2 methods. Is either method safe? I have read that for method 2 I have to prep the area with wax before and after in order to prevent damage. Any other suggestions?
    Method 1: WD-40 and a magic eraser
    Method 2: Lacquer/thinner and rag

I would try compound correction cream before I would ever try either of those options. If you don’t have a machine then just apply it by hand and put some elbow grease into it. Then polish and seal.

I get that. A 1” machine would probably do the trick no need using a 6” pad to correct a much smaller spot. I would probably be quicker to try the magic eraser then paint thinner. Idk I’ve always done it with a polisher.

oh thou peasant! thy cranium cannot fathom the multitude of passing hours spent buffing thou bonnet, undercarriage, and tailpipe of said truck with a face of enjoyment spread across the face of thee and joy within thou trousers :rocket:. :D

but yea, i'm the werido that enjoys washing a truck, even knowing that i may be washing it again within a short time because of certain circumstance :notsure::laugh:
it can be a problem though and is probably an ever so slight form of addiction:help:

So I'll ask here on behalf of a co-worker of mine. He's got a (C)Raptor
He got asking me about my experience with ceramic coating both of my vehicles. He stated that he did his truck with Adam's 9h Ceramic Coating. He said he did all the work in his garage, prepped it and all. He said he had bad lighting in his garage though. He coated the vehicle. Let it set for a bit. Then went and put another coat on it. The next day when he took it out into the sun. He said the best way he could describe it was that it looked like when you put a layer of wax on a vehicle and haven't buffed it back off yet. He said it was everywhere. He brought it back into the garage and buffed it back off then just used a spray ceramic wax to put some protection on it. I'm trying to think of why it did that. It sounded like he did the process right. But didn't know if he did it when it was too humid out, didn't let it flash properly, paint wasn't free of oils like he neglected to do an IPA wipedown, or if Adams is just a sh!t product? Just curious about why it would do that and didn't know if someone had some insight about it. TIA
