Sweet! Love my Retrax Pro bed cover. Bilstein or Falcon will suit your needs if you're looking to level and improve ride. Either tire size will be just fine, but the larger you go the more work you have to make sure no rub exists. I'm partial to the larger tire and smaller wheel look, but go with whatever you like! The search feature has been a miracle for me. Use it all you can! Chances are that the topic has already been discussed.

If I were going to upgrade tires on a brand new truck, I would probably do it from the get so I could sell the OEMs basically as like new and get the best price.

I'd be getting started really quickly, there is no shortage of shortages right now on many items, especially shocks.

    Welcome.

As far as tonneau covers even the hard shell retractable covers aren't 100% secure but they are a good deterrent. If security is top priority a Diamondback hard cover is probably the most secure >> with retractables next in line. Decked also makes a lockable drawer system for the bed but you loose some bed depth and space in return.

With that said I have a Pace Edwards (part of Leer who makes bedcaps) Ultragroove metal (you can mount cross rails over the bed) and have had no major issues. Keeping it clean is my biggest complaint. The black metallic surface gets very hot in sunlight too. My particular set up had enough room below the canister to allow the Decked platform to fit.

Honestly it was the first thing I wanted to do but at the time I had other priorities to take care of. But i mean they only have 4300 miles so far.

Yea looking for a deterrent/security option first and YES the PE im definitely eyeing that route. Just wanted to see what are people experiences. Gonna be traveling again since everything is opening up and my son is old enough to be in long rides. Usually travel up and down California. When i had my burban all of luggage and gear were inside didn't worry about it drove that machine to 264k miles all stock be for i sold it.

Unless you are really going to need performance for off road, towing, or heavy haul and you have 4300 on the tires already, I think you should keep it stock on suspension and tires. Once you start upgrades, it's the old one thing leads to fifteen others, next thing you know it becomes thousands of dollars quickly. I mean you have an infant soon to be toddler, maybe more, that will cost you big money, I have two children myself, not cheap at all. Get the bed cover if you want, again I would really think about it though. Kids grow really fast, enjoy your little one as much as you can.

Congrats on the new truck. That's a nice truck.

I just decided to pull the trigger on the parts to lift my truck. I wanted the Bilstein 6112s with the 5160s on the back. The guy told me there is at least a 12 week wait on the shocks so I said that I wanted Fox 2.5 shocks all the way around. He said that there was at least a 12 week wait on those also. I went ahead and ordered them because that is what I ultimately wanted anyway. There is a four week wait on the wheels I wanted, which won't matter since I can't use them until the shocks come in. I didn't even ask about the UCAs, rear springs or any of the other parts. The point is expect lead times on the stuff you want and don't compromise just to save time because you might have that truck for a long time. That could be a long time to regret that you didn't get what you wanted just to get something less than you really want in order to get something faster.

I have the same ride, 2019 version. Have you considered color-matched mirror caps and handles? Fairly cheap fixes you can do yourself that improve the look. The sway bar improves the handling a ton. You could try that before upgrading shocks/tires and see if it can hold you over until it's time for new tires. I don't have the rolling cover, I have the tri-fold (Ultra Flex by UnderCover). It's cheaper than the rolling version, but I haven't had any complaints with it.

Depending on how tall you want to go, between the choices you've laid out I would go with the Falcons. They wont get you as tall as the Bilsteins (from what I'm reading here on the forums) but the ride quality seems better. The adjustable Falcons have my eye but I'm holding out to see if they release their electronically controlled version that are only available for jeeps right now

I'm still on my stock OffRoad Bilsteins shocks which are pretty good, if you aren't needing a lift/level they are fairly good all around shocks for an OEM stock option

Something to note @LAPlatinum If end up shopping Retrax vs Pace Edwards. You are likely to get a better price deal on the Retrax.

I specifically didn't want a key lock for my tonneau. To unlock the tonneau on the Ultragroove I have to drop the tailgate to unlatch the catch lever. Thankfully I installed the Pop n Lock kit where I can toggle the tailgate lock via the key fob so I don't need to use the mini Tundra key stowed in the fob. I mention it as it may be a deciding factor for you. The rest of the specs look very similar if not identical.

Sounds like you got the bug, lol
Take your time doing the "Tundra Thang" and really look at how you want to use your truck before laying down your hard earned bucks bro.
Maybe just leveling your girl so it tracks great, and your wife and child can get in an out nicely.
Check out the Re Trax covers for your bed, I think you'll like what they can do.
Have fun and PS.,,, keep your wife involved in the decision making.
You'll get more and she'll be happy.
    don't show her this message...lol

Congrats getting the approval. Your 2020 MGM Platinum is identical to mine. You need to know what you want. I went tri-fold and regret not getting the DiamondBack.
If you wait about a month, then I will have posted pictures of mine with the TeraFlex Falcons, CB+1 shackles, TRD BBS forged wheels, 275/70r18 Falken Wildpeaks, TRD front sway bar, TRD rear sway bar, etc. [The Falcon group buy bunch are all just receiving them and getting them installed. There will soon be much more experience with them.]

Yes definitely i involve my wife and ultimately she has the last say out of respect of course. But she agrees we need a cover and better suspension. Cali roads/highways are just as bad. AND believe me if ive been patiently waiting to build my trucks. If it were really my last call id be dropping an ls on my 66

Just leveling the feont nothing in the back is my preferred choice. Cover looking for something secured without worrying getting broken into

Might want to check around market place and such for a used bed cover. A whole bunch of people buy one then decide they want a rack, or shell, etc. I have seen $2000 bed cover go for $700 here on craigslist.

Check the build link in my signature.
I’ve got the TCUSA roll Cover and love it. It’s my second one - my 2008 had one on it for almost 300k miles without issue. The canister is all metal and smaller than the other retractable covers (much smaller than Retrax, slightly smaller than the PE). Has a release under the cover or you can use a key to open (I only ever use the release since I’ve got the power tailgate lock). I got mine with the Yakina rails installed on it so I can run ski/snowboard rack over the bed in the winter…still deciding what I want to do for a summer setup.

we bought the one on my 2008 to keep luggage secure and dry on a 3000 mile road trip in 2009. And it was the one “gotta have” thing I bought for my 2021
