    Hello forum

    I have an 07 crewmax with 5.7
Having an intermittent tapping noise coming from the passenger side. It is louder in the wheel well than above the engine bar listening to the motor. It seems to be quieter with AC on, louder with AC off but neither makes sound completely go away.

heres a link to the noise. This was the noise with the AC off

Haha unfortunately not. That’s an easier solution to solve than this mystery. I am wondering if it is a pulley or something in the accessories

motor gets too noisy when I rev and it isn’t noticeable: I took a mechanics stethoscope on the idlers.

with AC OFF noise not present (intermittent)
    tensioner - quiet
    Idler - quiet

with AC on noise is present
    Tensioner - noisy
    Idler - quiet

I will replace tensioner and get back to you guys. Thank you for input
