they are really nice man, I have used them before and if when you want a normal mirror it goes right to that.

you get a much better view, that will be a high trim option for sure, not standard on lower ones.

When it was a mirror you could see where the screen portion was, it kind of looked like how auto dimming are where there's a border that's different. But as far as reflection and visibility you couldn't tell it was a screen. No distortions.

Good to know. I do love the autodim feature. Always hated the stupid flip tab on normal ones. They always popped hard enough to move the mirror, and then I had to adjust them too often. Eventually, I just dealt with the bright lights. Then I was spoiled on the auto dim.

Who knows, if I ever get the screen type I might feel spoiled again.

Not a huge issue, but I still wouldn't want to lose my rearview over it.

Read beyond that and you'll see that I am not familar with these and didn't know they worked without power. I'm learning, so pardon me raising a question/concern before knowing all.

I rented a Camaro with one once and the problem was that you flip the switch to keep from being blinded by headlights behind you at night and then you have to try to see things in the stupid screen.

Not sure, this will probably fall under wiper blades and brake pads. After bumper to bumper ends.

So far I've only found this to be a problem on Toyotas. Not sure why other manufacturers can figure it out and they can't.

Never had a Toyota. My Dodge Stratus did it, Chrysler Concorde, Olds Cutlass, Cadillac DeVille, Dodge Ram... They all moved around if you used the flip tab. My WRX had the autodim, and I can't go back.

that AT4 is a good looking truck, the best out there at the moment in person anyways

thats where tow hooks should be, where are the ones on the pro, underneath?

that pic makes the tundra looked like it has a chopped top, I sure hope they didnt lower the roof so you have to fold yourself in half to get in like the tacoma, that would be a deal killer for me, the entry area is so small on those from floor to roof.

need to see a real truck though, this rendering is tough to tell much at all

Maybe they're hidden underneath that MASSIVE front grille! Should be plenty of room for a trans. cooler, wench, and even a yeti cooler...
Edit: Actually, it is a good question about the tow hooks. Maybe they have been deleted?

Don't forget intercoolers for the turbos. That grille may just be huge for function.

Agreed on the looks but they struck out on the interior. it's not terrible but it's not really a compliment to the redesigned exterior.

It's a bit too much black plastic for me. Reminds me a little of the new Taco grilles, so I'm not too surprised. Maybe some aftermarket stuff will be the fix.

Lower trims will have different grilles. Theres an older leak photo that might give a peak. I reposted it a few pages back. I can PM it to you if you'd like. (Don't want to just recycle this thread over and over.)

In both my Civic and my Kia, I could flip it as quickly as I wanted without moving anything. My wife's Corolla isn't too bad but in my truck I have to gently ease it very slowly, which I'm bad at doing when some asshole is blinding me with his high beams.

Also, haven't you had a Toyota for about 2 years?

But I want a PRO!!..Just kidding. I'll take a look as you recommend. I'm often 5-10 years behind for liking new Toyota body/style changes, so maybe the Pro front end will grow on me. It took me more than 5 years to finally warm up to the 4th Gen. 4Runner!

Is the top chopped or is the belt line just so high that you won't be able to see out of it?

Functionally it's pretty great. It has the right amount of knobs, buttons, etc. The layout is well done, the space and storage is great. The fit and finish isn't terrible but there's too much black plastic in the surround of the screen. And the screen is on the smaller side. Their column shifter actually isn't too bad. I'm sure they could do an electronic knob or like what they do in the new yukon or acadias with buttons. The seats suck. They are really firm. If you're bigger like me most have reported issues feeling the vibrating safety sensors in the seats. I had that issue in my 2016 Yukon. Seats look the same and they weren't that great and you could feel the sensors through the padding.

I wanted a faster vehicle so I also bought a Chevy SS... because 4 door sedans with big V8’s are hilarious.
Yep. The V35A-FTS uses air to liquid charge air coolers, and they’re on their own radiator with a dedicated pump. So the truck will have two radiators: one for the engine coolant, and one for the turbocharger after cooler for the charge air.

I would disagree on the layout. I hate their 4x4 set up, and the buttons are all the same ones from years ago. They feel cheap.

8 years in Chevys for work, and the interior clips would all loosen up and we even had some panels for the pillars between the doors that would just fall off randomly.

I don't like column shifters in general, but the big fat ones in the chevys were my least favorite.

I'll take ANY column shifter over this.

This is the most important and 100% true. Never can get comfortable in a GM Truck. Anything more than an hour or two drive and my back is toast.
