I have the transfer case from my 2011 Toyota Tundra for sale. It has 50k miles on it and there are no issues with it. I also have the 4WD control computer from the same vehicle included. The transfer case has Amsoil in it, there's about 10k miles on the oil. The electronic actuator is included, all the electrical pins on the actuator and the control computer are clean and straight.

I'm firm on the price as I'm willing to meet the buyer part way on distance within reason and the computer is included. I'm located in Avon and would be willing to meet part way to Denver, or to Grand Junction.

Reason for sale: Changed to Sequoia transfer case.
Cash only or don't bother please.

Wynnded, I know this is an old post. I can use your help, can you tell me where the computer is for the transfer case? I just purchased a new T case and computer for my 2010 Tundra.
    Thanking you in advance,
    Anthony C

It's located up under the glove box mounted to the inside of the outer "wall" of the cab. Like on the inner fender on the opposite side of the iForce badge, but actually inside the cab. If memory serves, I only needed to remove the one plastic panel under the glove box to access it. It's just held on by a 10mm bolt.

Thank you very much. It was cheaper to buy the complete transfer case than the two shafts and bearings I needed to rebuild it. Thank again. I was full of anticipation thinking of where it could be. You’re a life saver.

Hey, no worries. Glad to have had the answer you were looking for. In terms of oil, I don't recall off the top of my head what I put in mine (other than it's Amsoil), but the Amsoil website has a lookup that can show what they recommend.

Do you need to change the ECU when the TC is swapped out? Does the ECU need to come from the same Tundra that the TC came from?

I've looked on ToyotaPartsDeal.com and they claim that a replacement TC requires a new ECU. I wasn't sure if they were just trying to sell additional parts.

I can't say for sure. I guess that I'd at least try to make sure that the replacement ECU is the same part number. Over the course of the production cycle, there may have been some changes that weren't advertised. With that said, I haven't had any issues replacing my 2011 ECU with one from a 2008 Sequoia for my T-case "upgrade".

Did you have to swap the ECU to make the 4 wheel drive functional again after the TC install, or did you change the ECU as a proactive measure?

For my situation, replacing the Tundra transfer case with the Sequoia transfer case, the Sequoia ECU is required although I don't recall the exact reason just now. So I purchased them both at the same time and they were both from the same vehicle.

Wynnded, did you need to change out your 2wd/4wd switch on the dash to sequoia 4hi/4low as well?
What have you done with the front diff disconnect? (as in is it still wired up or have you locked it and pulled the plug?)
Looking at the provided photos, i see your Tundra transfer has less plug contacts than a constant has, (because tundra transfers do not need to be locked) Thankyou in anticipation.

    No, there was no reason.
I made no alterations or changes from factory.
If I'm understanding your comment correctly, that is true. There would be no need for electrical contacts for a function that does not exist with the Tundra transfer case as it is locked all the time and cannot be unlocked.

Yes that is what I ment. The constant transfer has a lock function, how do you lock it now in high or low?

I wired in the Sequoia Diff Lock Switch for a factory look and functionality.
