Haven't posted in here in a while, installed rough country seat covers. They are a tad warm but the extra padding feels nice and they look and fit well. The I installed the eibach pro coilovers stage 2 kit. Absolutely love it. Also put on black lug nuts, most people probably wouldn't even notice the difference but I wanted lug nuts for summer and to use the lug nuts that came on it for winter Wheels.

This had me go outside and check mine. I was confused thinking they were already dark (cue Homer Simpson “DOH!”).

They are the Toyota OEM ones https://parts.maplewoodtoyota.com/p...ser/Black-Lug-Nuts/94390631/PT0760C20002.html Truth be told though, the finish quality doesn't seem the greatest. I read some threads on here that said as much as well ( after I bought them of course )

I did receive the Ecoological front bumper covers recently (super white matched) but I’ve been waiting for the time to do it after spending so long putting the Diode fog lights in. I found the hardest part of those was tightening the side Allen head bolts once you have them in place. Would have gone much quicker if I had Burger King hands. o_OThe driver’s side light seemed even tighter a space too.

Looks good, like amber myself so I put the Lasfit switchback fogs in my Ranchhand bumper. Love having it both ways with a click of the switch! Still thinking about a mud shield for the cooling fan on them, answer might be a pvc tee fitting to let heat escape out the top and gravity will pull mud and water out the bottom. Basically just drop the wires out the bottom of the fitting and apply a little silicone to keep it held on to the fan housing. Can't hurt to keep the fan clean, but I need to turn them on for a bit and verify the temperature to be certain that the pvc won't melt, if so I will just go with copper.

Ugh you guys aren't making this easy on me. So I've been looking at getting an off-road in AG since for some reason in my area that's the only color I'm able to find. I toyed with getting a trail edition bc they are like 3k cheaper and I love the wheels that come on them plus less chrome I'd have to delete. Plus I have a choice of the army or cement. Eventually I would want to beef up the suspension but out the gate stock ride how is it? I do tow a camper so I thought maybe the upgraded suspension of the off-road would be a better fit. I know I'll lose things like the led headlights and push button start. LoL it's so hard to figure out

Even though I own a trail Edition I will be 100% unbiased for you. Due to the shortage of tundras and the fact that I fell in love with my exact truck including the port installed options is why I ended up with a trail Edition. Truth be told they aren't all that special. They are just an SR5 with the upgrade package and then a couple changes. I would say the highlight of the trail Edition is the wheels and the rear bumper being body color matched. The bed boxes are pretty lackluster and the seats are so similar to a regular SR5 that you wouldn't notice that they were different unless you were told. Regret would be far too strong of a word, but if I could go back and get past the looks of the truck I probably would get a truck with keyless entry and dual climate control instead of the trail edition. It is nice to have a limited edition truck though. Also suspension wise it is not very good off-road. I bottomed out a lot especially in the rear. I found a good Band-Aid to fix that is the skyjacker foam cell shocks in the rear. Any other questions just ask

I'd go with cement, will show less dust. Off road suspension from the factory isn't much special unless you get a pro. If you want to tow and not drag the rear go with a Roadmaster active suspension kit, ez and effective, see YouTube. Depending on tongue weight you might want e load rated tires and a weight distribution hitch. I spent a small fortune setting up my truck to go way beyond the payload rating because I need to haul heavy loads and it will do so without squatting much at all and my headlights stay in focus just fine. Better act fast if you want a 21 they are going fast. Good luck, post pics!

I had a 2020 tundra sport that I sold. My camper isn't huge like probably 5k loaded. I had like no squat with the wd hitch set up right. That's why I'm on the fence bc I can probably get a trail edition and just put my own lift/suspension on it. I'm just curious if adding like led headlights, fog lights and suspension would cost more on the end vs just getting an off-road model.

Led headlights are not all that special, actually worse in the rain and that is when you need good light the most. Fog lights are standard on the trail, changed my bulbs to Lasfit switchback for a couple hundred so I have both clear and amber at my finger tips, you can get a Roadmaster active suspension kit for a few hundred bucks that will be sufficient for your trailer weight. What else?

Yeah I'll have to look at the roadmaster thing. One thing I loved about my sport was having the rear sway bar. So from what I gather that roadmaster product will make the truck have a smoother ride? Can I use that in conjunction with a rear sway bar? LoL sorry for so many questions

    • Watch the YouTube videos, do research or talk to people and you decide, from my perspective the RAS will replace the sway bar, as will stiffer springs. I don't have one, never had one, never will have one. The RAS will make it a different truck period. I don't believe it will interfere, but not certain, just can't see why you would need it though. My truck is lifted about 3" front and back and it rides like a Cadillac, corners well too, just gotta watch roll over possiblity a bit because it is tall and is heavy. However, my truck is not being considered for your purchase, nor does it need a rear sway bar. If you really want to spend on rear suspension, I highly recommend BDS traction bars to keep axle wrap minimized while you tow your wagon around. If you want YouTube has videos on that subject too.

Might be able to get a different console lid from whatever it is you want from salvage, maybe a pro if that's your goal.

My brother in law has a 3D printer and I was going to make a replacement with the name of my truck on it

So I really just want to get that badge piece off, if possible.

Might fold the whole lid back or put a mirror on the underside of the handle to gain a better understanding. Other than that maybe heat gun or hair dryer to soften adhesive.

Thanks! I got a Tufskinz that has the name of my truck on it, but I'm going to have my brother-in-law 3D print an alternative for me before I stick it on.
