I dont know itll be interesting for us humans to hear what mistakes weve all made in life. It could as minor or major aslong you care to share.

My mistakes; leaving a good government job for another one totally in a different field just because i hated the daily 4 hour commute.

had a dream job out of state that i left to come back to family. Probably shoulda stayed!

    selling some
Cool cars like my 03 tahoe 5.3 4x4 Lt model with only 80k miles on it.

    selling my 05 2500 yukon 8.1.

    selling my 07 2500 suburban.

last mistake not selling my 2006 wife. Jk!

all in all lifes a lesson youll learn it when youre through.

    You just wait
Not getting what you truly want in a vehicle. I have had 4 vehicles in 4 years because I set silly rules and compromised instead of getting exactly what I wanted. I said it had to fit in the garage, had to be affordable, etc. Finally realized parking outside isn't a huge deal and that I have wanted a V8 for almost a decade. Finally got what I wanted and it feels good :D

I regret not putting more effort into school. I've ended up alright and happy with my life, but I took education for granted.

I think family is more important, what if you didn’t have a family to come back to if you stayed out of state……

Depends on the family. My old man gave up a good career for family too. Regretted it until the day he died. I stay in touch with those in my family I like and have things in common, and don't with the rest. Some I purposely distance myself from.

Anyway, back to the original topic...

I think we all have a couple girls from the past that got away and we wonder "what if...", but I'm happy with the one that settled for me. :D

Wish to hell I'd known about investing when I was younger. Why don't parents/schools focus more on this? If I could go back in time and lecture my parents about 1 thing they screwed up with me, this would be it. But knowing what I know now, they didn't know either. I wasted a lot of $ that could actually be worth something today.

Speaking of wasting money, dumbest thing I ever did was trade a vehicle I really liked for fuel economy. Wound up with a car I didn't like AND in the end didn't save a damn dime. Never again!

Wish it hadn't taken me so long to mellow out. Spent a lot of time being angry over stupid stuff that really nobody cares about - and I shouldn't have either. I was just a hot-headed asshole for so long. Still have my occasional moments, but not nearly as often.

Otherwise, not too many regrets outside of wishing I could spend one more day with loved ones who are gone.

My only regret is not learning lessons I learned earlier in life. I’m glad I learned them - would’ve saved me some headaches, time and $$$ to have learned them earlier!

    - Not joining the military right after high school. Biggest regret. I was just enjoying that construction money and freedom, kept coming up with excuses.

    - Becoming a welder. I knew it wasn't for me when I was an apprentice. Stuck with it out of stubborness. 12 years of hell but I'm out now.

    - Buying a 2013 F150. Cost me a bundle

    - Thinking that one goregeous blonde who is now a doctor was out of my league. Looking back, she was seriously into me.

    - Not saving more money.

I've made mistakes but have learned from them all. My life isn't perfect but I have a good job, make solid money to make up for prior lack of savings and have a good woman by my side now. I'm still pursuing a dream job, bur other than that, life has been turning out ok.

Should have invested younger, developed healthier eating habits, and learned a trade.

401k is pretty sorry for my age, I'm fat and I'm struggling to change that, but at least I was lucky on the job thing. I make a decent living, but everything else in life is pretty shit, so yeah. Good talk.

Regrets are a waste of time and energy. Most things are still attainable, it's just how you look at it. Are there things I wish I would have done different "YES", but everyday we get a chance to start fresh, it's just most of us choose not to. It's never too late...

Buying a 50k car when I was 20 (new mitsu evo), modding it, blowing the engine within a year and having to make payments for 4 years without driving the car before I could sell it and break even

Edit: my friend that bought it to fix/flip made me this memento out of some of the carnage, sitting in my toolbox at work lol

I regret not finding this site while I was researching trucks and Tundras. I am quite happy with what I bought but could have had the "perfect" mix of truck and options if I had spent a few days reading through these forums before placing me order.

I regret not buying a Toyota earlier in life. Lesson learned stay away from Jeep, Dodge/ram & Ford.
Also, European cars are super nice, until they breakdown which they will and cost a small fortune.

I could have my own thread dedicated to my mistakes through the years. Most prominent would be going to school full time while working full time and trying to raise kids at the same time. All that effort just for my diploma to be worthless and the debt to follow me for the rest of my life. But it landed me in the wonderful world of construction and it is starting to look up for me so maybe it was a good mistake.
