Agreed, but this past Memorial Day weekend I saw a lot of Tundras towing various sized trailers. Some on the small size and many fairly large with a WDH properly used. Saw a CM with a 5th wheel and boat behind that heading up to the San Juan's on Hwy 160. Crazy stuff.

I drove several and really liked them, they just wanted too much $ compared to what I paid for the tundra.

ya, that damn thing is talking to me, what a slick system. 7.2Kw all integrated into the truck and automatically turns it on only when needed while using the truck gas tank.

    what a great truck feature.

Have to admit the boat behind the 5th was a light Johnny boat with electric trolling motor on a light weight trailer.

I am seeing some of the things they asked about in the customer surveys so hopefully some of the power and interior come to fruition as well.

It is until you take the truck to go fishing and leave your wife in the trailer with no power. Still need a gen.

FWIW, I don't hate this new Tunny. Simply not too thrilled with the looks which we all have seen visually now and commented on. Of course the "guts", for lack of better words, will be the proof in the pudding.

    LOL

what's wrong with that, she can use a candle, HEHE

Ya I get it, but I wasn't thinking about trailer use per se, more like back up for a cabin and medical devices up there since the power goes out all the time, that would be slick. shit, I could plug in the well and the entire camp would actually have water while the power was out.

what a great truck feature, I give Ford big props for that

True. Just saying Ford electrics/electronics have had a bad run here as of late. If they can straighten that out it should be a good.

I hope you're right. Or at least that you're more correct than you are on the gearing between the Ram 3.92 (not 3.90 BTW) and the Tundra 4.30.

not to be a jerk, but stop talking about gear ratios unless you're going to get them right and also talk shifting points and wheel/tire dimmensions. It's not all about ratios in the gearing.

In all honesty, I didn't know the ratios for the RAM 3.92, a vehicle that I also owned before I bought my Tundra. But, I looked it up and the math doesn't seem to support your assertion that it's taller in 2nd than the tundra is in 1st. (3.92 x 3.14 = 12.31 vs 4.30 x 3.33 = 14.32).

How does that work, is that the only package you can put a deposit on since no one knows the other trim levels? Are you able to change your trim levels once information comes out? I'm curious because I am in the market but I have no idea how that works with a vehicle that is only out with just a picture.

I will have to go back and look at the 2013 numbers from what I had, but I said shorter in 2nd, not taller, either way, If I messed them up I have no problem saying that, but thats what I remembered from when I look at it before.. I remember 1st was about 3.92 x 4.71.

It's $1k and refundable. But it's the first deposit for the 2022. It's the same person I've been dealing with for the 2021 TRD. There's no pricing or specs yet. If it's too expensive or the specs don't align then I just cancel deposit. No loss. If it's awesome then I get first crack at order or allocation. My guess it's the latter, I bet it's "here's what they are giving us" rather than being able to order.

I'll start more than one thread. I assume if all goes well delivery ain't till xmas or the new year.
