Nope. I have always had 80 plus rolls on hand since I moved out of my parents place at 18.

When I was a young lad I made fun of my grandmother (who lived through the Great Depression) for having 3-4 big packages of TP in her pantry. So she made a bet with me. She would give me 100.00 to go one week without TP (early 1980’s) in the middle of the hot summers in ND. I made it 4 days. When I lost, she sat me down and taught me a few of life’s little lessons. Since then I have always had a bundle of TP on standby.

During the pandemic, I have not needed to shop for TP at all. Since I was prepared, I also gave TP to my neighbors, parents, and friends that were running low.

Friends have always made fun of me for having a bunch of paper towels, TP, laundry detergent, bleach, and other essentials. At the end of 2019, the joke went real life and suddenly I was getting calls.

But thanks for suggesting I’m an asshole.

We buy it by the case from who gives a crap, and usually have two cases in stock. Even with bidets on every toilet, three women in the house means we use a lot of paper.

Funny how that works eh? People that made fun of me for being a "prepper" were calling to see if i had any extra TP, paper towel, or whatever else they didn't stock up on. Most were told to "figure it out bud". LOL.

    I know you were.

My Dad gave me some good advice as a young man. “Learn from the elders not your peers in life. Why learn from someone that has the same or less experience than you?” That advice has been very useful.

Even funnier, when the TP pandemic hit, my grandmother called me up to talk shit…

Yep. I’m only 9 miles from town. Some people are quite a bit further and just can’t “go” whenever.

    Rule #1
Always check stock before lowering into position.

having to cut off a part of your t-shirt, sock, or underwear to finish the job is never fun.

Good advice, all I leaned from peers growing up was, what not to do. Probably saved my life.
