2022 Tundra

That is not a recycled interior that is the new land cruiser that was just introduced a month ago. The Tundra and LC did't share similar/sharable parts in the past because they were not built on the same architecture, they are now. As will be the 4 runner/tacoma/sequoia. Looking at the tundra picture it is a fair assessment to think the interior may be similar, zoom into the windshield and you can see the top of the center stack in the tundra and it is the same on the LC.

 

Exactly. Even at 14-16mpg, you’ll have to drive a LOT of miles to actually come out ahead buying another new truck.

Payload and towing of my ‘21 work great for me. And I very much trust it to get me back from remote adventures with my family.

I am going to be the Sequoia and LC will be very similar since they are now built on the same architecture and can share parts and features. The did say we are not getting the LC, probably because they are building the same truck with the american name (Sequoia)

 

Same platform does not mean architecture....

And there will be plenty more threads about the ugly looking 3rd gen.

But at least we finally have a 3rd generation Tundra to look at.

 

Not a fan of the front as a first impression personally. Looks kind of like what they did to the Tacoma, but worse. All good. Sure it will be a nice truck

 

I hope not. I'll never buy a truck without bucket seats and a full center console again. I'd hate to have to spend $10k+ more just to get that.

 

Looks pretty decent to me. Although, where do you put the overland bumper. The lines dont seem to match up as evenly as before...

I find it hilarious that everyones comapring the new face with GM and poop when Toyota's had that design for a long time now (lexus lineup, 4runner)

Besides v6 sound I think everything else will be ok.

 

Looks exactly like the Highlander interior.

 

Makes me feel better about my decision to trade for a new '21 while I could.

 

All great points but my issue with this new tunny is all you notice at first is that god awful humungous gaping grille and not the truck....

 

THANK YOU! I'm not the only one! All the "They ripped off (insert brand here)" is ridiculous when you look at the design theme Toyota has had going for YEARS!!!!!

Something about this seems fishy

 

I would like to see what it would look like with the top part of the bumper being painted.

 

Somebody did it in one of the other 2022 threads. That's part of why I asked for them to be merged. Mods politely declined.

 

I think it looks pretty good (except maybe the headlights), certainly better than Ford, Ram, or Nissan.

 

Unfortunately we get that here sometimes. The best thing to do is ignore them. Feeding them only makes it worse.
