Screen not hanging up out on top would be good , hope we don’t get that skinny screen my dad has on the highlander

sucks with the whole supply and market conditions though, people who want to get a decent deal with any kind of selection or any kinda decent interest rate are going to have to wait for a while maybe a year or more

Ps. No chrome on the platinum please Toyota

Have to work around the shifter to get to all those buttons and knobs. Not sure why a door is needed over the cup holder. Wireless phone charger pad? Will see what the tundra has. Not sure about the center console piece. We’ll see.

I would love to see a dang front bench available in more trims than just the barest of bare bones.

I kind of agree. The cover over cup holders seems to be popular in luxury stuff, and so I get it in the LC. Not for the Tundra, though.

I don't think the '21 LC interior is what the '22 Tundra will be like for these reasons:
    • The Tundra is supposed to be all new. I don't think they're going to recycle the '21 LC interior into it.
    • The Tundra and the LC have not had similar/sharable parts in the past.
    • The Sequoia and the Tundra have always been twins, if they instead twin it with the LC then how would the Sequoia and LC differ? Makes no sense to have both the top end SUVs in the same brand built the same way.

THIS A MILLION TIMES. Sure there’s things here and there people complain about not having, mostly little things you can live without IMHO or add yourself, but c’mon, the utility and extra capability of being able to seat 6 is a huge deal.

Glad you said this. I haven’t seen much talk about a front bench seat.

The 93 Cobra is pretty sweet and so is the 99 Firebird WS6. That WS6 with the LS1 was a beast in the early 2000s

Pic of LC? Don’t think the new Taco Grande will even come close to that picture. Toyota is going all new. I assume.

So glad I got a ‘21. ‘22 may have more power, but not feeling the look on this one at all.

I think that land cruiser base config is what will be in there, but I'm sure there will be slight modifications to take into account the different requirements a Tundra has. I don't think there'll be so much chrome in the console area, as the tundra is more of a work vehicle than a touring vehicle.

No i have no regrets about getting a 2021. I love v8 engines and i think the current gen looks really good especially with 35s on them, it has all the tech i need or ever use so im am very happy with my choice. And to say its dumb to not like something because of looks isnt a good argument. There are lots of things people make chouces on based on looks, everything from clothes to partners. Some may have the looks but not the quality and some may have the quality but not the looks, in the end you chose one that has enough for you personally. For me the 22 looks ugly, not a fan of the longer hood or some of the excessive bulging lines in front and on the hood. It just seems like it limits your view. I hope it comes standard with a front anytime camera. I also dont like how that wheel well is too large for that tire (to be fair i hope they did that so its easier to put larger tires and they convey that or maybe give an option to buy it with bigger tires) i do like the head lights, i dont like the lightbar, i perfer a longer light bar. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions and you dont have to agree

They will continue it and I think it will share more with the Land Cruiser than ever before since they will be on the same architecture. At least it is on their list of vehicles to continue.

Do we even get the new LC? I thought I read that the 300 series may not be available in the US. If that’s the case, it might make sense for the 3rd gen Sequoia to absorb some of the LC features.

If they’ll both be available for the same market, I’d expect the Sequoia to continue as a more-affordable, less capable family hauler version of the LC.

Which brings up an interesting point and something I hope is not the case: if we get no LC and the 3rd gen Sequoia is marketed as a LC replacement, it will probably be more expensive and somewhat more capable or luxurious.

Ahhh, you raise good points. I've never bothered to keep up on anything LC related because it's just way too expensive. If the LC is not going to be in North America then you might be exactly right. Still, if that's the case, the LC is also brand new and the likelihood of the 2021 LC stuff being used is still not something I think will happen.

I like the '22 so far, but I'm not going to buy one. I'd rather keep what I have, pay it off, and not have a truck payment ever again. That's the goal.
