Ordering the '22 as soon as the models, specs and pricing are out. The TRDP looks good enough to indicate what we'll see on lower trims. Will sell my 29,000-km 2018 for almost what I paid for it — a truck that's been in the shop exactly four times for oil changes (and recalls) only. Should look good next to grandpa. (Sorry for large pic.)

Don’t try so hard man. Your whole post is a jumble of forced “edgy” statements and attempts to let everyone know how intelligent you are. (Most of yours are and it’s noticeable.) There’s no need for that. True validation comes from within, so never seek it from others.

Waiting to see payload, drivetrain, and suspension specs. If finally done right, as in a true lsd or locking differential among other things for example, then that would help overlook the goofy fish mouth grille and goofier headlights.

I am hopeful and fairly certain it’s coming. At least, I don’t think this photo has been shown to be a fake. Alleged timeline of all new Toyota vehicles launch:

All of your points already scares the average Tundra owner. At least on this site. Hopefully Toyota thought past blind profits and designed this new Big Taco to withstand a head on collision.

Saw the photo this morning of the 4th gen. I am so happy that I bought a 21 and didn't wait for the 22. I would not be excited to buy that, just not my style.

Not really, and besides the CrewMax had the collision issue potential. The DC passed. The problem had nothing to do with a head on collision at all but with a shear hit on either front side. The CM didn't do well at all with this test.

Don't mind the looks and like having newer things. But towing heavy over long distances, mountains, to remote locations and for hours at a time, I still want a reliable V8, a large gas tank (love the 38 gallons that let me tow my 7000lbs TT 350 miles at a clip), and proven reliability. Yeah a powerboost comes with more HP and Torque, as does the GMC 6.2L, and the 3.0 baby Duramax pulls like a beast. Sure they all have comfortable suspensions. But damn it, it is still a truck. Right now, I blow them all away on the highway with 5.7L and 4.30 and a similar sized trailer.

So, if they let me test drive one, i'll take it overnight, drive my travel trailer on a couple hundred mile loop and see what I think.

    A bunch
There needs to be 5 radiators at least: Main engine cooler, AC condenser, power steering, Intercooler, and transmission cooler. I'd think it would have to be the perfect angle to see the transmission one, my guess would be that is the intercooler in the picture.

One thing to note is the headlights are wrapped around some grills - look too far away from the fender to be purely aerodynamics like Chevy's. So could they be for 'Ram Air' intakes? Or are they hiding radiators behind them? Lots of possibilities with them and I'm curious what's behind them

Glad I bought a 2020 and not that bottom feeder.

And I thought the current generation was tough to see out of!

So not true. Everyone still hates the Aztec all these years later. The Gremlin didn't win the beauty prize either. I won't mention the Yugo. Not really new generations but fugly is fugly.

I'd add the fox body Mustangs, and 90's Camaros/Firebirds to things that looked like crap then, and still look like crap today.

Everyone is so dramatic. This is just a Taco Grande. Current model is definitely much more traditional. The new Taco Grande will be the next tradition.

Yep. Those were generational disappointments that were corrected. Time will tell with this new Tundra. A lot here don't care for the "looks" of it. Doesn't make us stupid, climate deniers , and against the progress of mankind...

All these ugly grill comments take me right back to the 3rd gen Tacoma introduction on TacomaWorld, lol. I expect some first class trolling of the new 4th gen Tundra owners.

So much emphasis on looks. Who cares? All the trucks look really similar to me. I'll be looking at cost, MPG, horsepower, torque, payload and towing. Especially payload.
