Plus it's way better than the weird bulbous thing the current truck has going on, particularly the extended cab.

 

Now my 2015 really does have to last forever.

 

Not that the Taco 3.5 won’t be durable. Just underpowered. Neighbor has a long bed 2019 taco. I asked him if he would tow with it. He laughed and say, maybe a small tent camper. But still loves the truck.

Oh I'm sure the 3.5L in the Taco will be durable, but mere durability doesn't mean it's a good engine for the application.

I don't get this. I pulled a fully enclosed, fully loaded 12' U-haul trailer across the state of Texas in the dead summer running 80 mph and Taco didn't break a sweat.

 

Plenty of 3rd gens if you want that rendering unless you’re just meaning the tailgate.

Still looks like Tonka truck to me. Not a fan of that grille at all.

 

Oh all the i hate the grille guys brings back memories in tacomaworld when the 3rd gen came out.... the grille on the 3rd gen tundra isn't exactly "small". I've seen the 4th gen grille in person and it didnt seem all that bigger if any then the 3rd gen, maybe just taller.

There is surely some 2000 f150s floating around if you want a small grille...

Not sure how I feel about it. I want to see official pictures and see it in person before deciding.

Regardless, I’m happy with my 2018 and in no hurry to get rid of it - no matter what they come out with.

I think they tried their hardest to make it look like a domestic truck. They seem to think people want massive grilles and those squared off tail lights.

Just wait for the non-pro pictures. Can anyone picture that massive grille in chrome?

I like it. As will most after they get over the “it’s new and something different”. Can never please people. They don’t change anything and half of us bitch nothing new…just bold new colors. They change everything and the other half bitches why did they have to change. If it’s two things car enthusiasts hate…change, and the way things are.

 

Not a fan at all. Too much plastic grill. But seems most Toyota lines have been moving to lots of grill. Other manufacturers as well. Also on that picture..not sure if those are fender flares or what, but again seems many manufacturers are moving to having trim around the wheel wells (like our Honda CRV). My guess is covering "unfinished" sheet metal edges with plastic is cheaper than finishing those seams and bending a nice finished fender lip. So it goes.
