Is this a sweet deal on a TRD PRO or does something look off?

Well, that's not a Pro, so it is not a sweet deal.

And, for the record, I paid less than that brand new for my Pro a month or so ago.

Unless I'm missing something super obvious, that's not a TRD Pro; it's a Tundra SR5, I think with the TRD Off-Road package. If anything it's way the hell too MUCH. Looks very similar to what I bought last year (including the blackout package) for....$41.7K.

I feel sorry for the poor sap who gets taken in by that post. I wonder if there's a way to report it. Isn't that fraud?

The toyota vin numbers are weird like that. My SR5 with just the TRD Off Road package like the truck in OP said TRD pro on insurance and when listed for sale after I traded it in for some reason. Ford vin numbers do the same where it'll say King Ranch when it's actually an XL trim

Before I got my Sequoia I looked at a 4Runner that was listed as a Limited with no leather, sunroof, or a few other options I can't remember that are Limited options.

Looks lifted with some tires, but definitely not worth the 59k.

And also not a TRD Pro.

This is actually my old truck that I sold 2 months ago to an online buying service. They paid me $49k for a truck that cost me $43k, drove it from CA to TX, leveled it out and put new tires on it and decided to call the SR5 a TRD PRO............ hopefully some poor sucker doesn't fall for it.

The prices for used Tundras is insane. I bought my 2021 for $39,500 + TTL and Carvana is offering me $44k, and will probably sell it for $50k+ based on what I see on their site.

I'm confused, OP. If you state this was yours that you sold, then why are you asking if it's a good deal on a TRD PRO? Your title makes it even more misleading.

I called them. Said they didn't advertise it as a PRO and JD Power must of made a mistake. Hard to believe that's true since I'm sure the dealer inputs the details.

EDIT - So the sales guy lied. It's listed as a PRO on their own website also.

Wanted to point out the fact that these boys are throwing a "PRO" in their listing and trying to fetch $60k for a 45k truck. Nuts

That's nothing new. Dealerships are always looking for unsuspecting and uninformed buyers.

Your title and progression of this thread made it seem like you were just trying to bait people in a response. Trust me, this is not unique. I've seen several back in the day when I purchased mine.

Edit: Heck, you'll see dealerships create their own edition hoping someone will think they've got something unique and will pay for that extra special sauce of uniqueness.

I didn't read it that way. I read it as a "does anybody else notice what is wrong?"

Would have been a great thread for a poll.

I just reported them to the FTC.

Won't do much, but it's documented.

I do see what you mean, but from a good amount of people looking for opinions on possibly purchasing one, I took it as OP being the one to ask if something is fishy. Hence, why I was confused once he said it was his and why I came to the conclusion he was baiting. Not trying to sound combative or accusatory. Just my observation.

Or much less. That is several thousand over MSRP for a Pro and used. Dealers pull this kind of shit all the time.

I have seen quite a few Tundras listed as Pros online. There has to be something in the VIN that is triggering it.

My new TRD Pro was $56,500 and had them throw in remote start. Included Tube Steps, Tinting, factory spray liner, Toyota factory bed cover.

Just for a data point on people buying. I still think I paid too much.
