So something happened today that has never happened before. Upon startup the truck omitted a cloud of light blueish "smoke" upon start up. It had been sitting after a trip for about 2 hours. What in the actual fu#$, @ 24k miles? I did a search and it could be condensation or valve seals etc. I am pretty freaked honestly. Any input would be helpful. Its under warranty so I can have it at the dealership next week. But 24k, come on, really?!?

So you're freaking out over something that is most likely condensation which is NOT a "what in the actual fu#$" moment? Stop being dramatic - lots of people have real problems like they're dying. Go have Toyota look at it and when it turns out to be condensation learn to relax and only get excited when there's something to get excited about - you'll live longer.

He thinks it was blue smoke but since he's already gone to the absolute worst-case scenario in his head the moment he saw it I'm going to go with he hardly seems objective about what's going on. While not impossible, it would be very unlikely that totally out of nowhere a Tundra with 24K miles starts burning oil. So as I said, get upset when there's something to get upset about which is after Toyota tells you something bad.

I've had 4 3rd gen tundras in my family and have experienced this on all of them occasionally. Never one single problem.

It looked blueish from my angle, that's why I asked. Anyway, thanks for the response. I'll get it figured out.

My ‘08 did this 2 or 3 times in a couple years, at random times. I replaced the PCV valve, and found the old one sticking when I removed it. Hasn’t done it since that I’m aware of, and it’s been a couple years. (I do remote start some of the time)

Oil level never dropped before or after replacing the PCV valve.

Mine smokes on startup. Has for months. Finally ordered a PCV valve for it. 10 min install and hoping it resolves it

If I see it again, I'll go that route.

Yeah, my valve was completely stuck. Wouldn’t move at all when I flip it upside down. Just be careful when snugging the new one back up. I hand tightened only
