    Hi Folks,
I've poked my nose into the Forum a few times over the past 16 years, that I've had my Tundra and thought I'd post a FIX that took me a bit to figure out.

The Problem: Every once in a while, always while driving in traffic, my 2005 4.7, 2UZ-FE Tundra would loose almost all throttle response. I would have to slowly (almost idle) find my way to the curb, turn the truck off. I'd have to disconnect the battery for 1/2 minute or so then I was good to go.

I had to keep a 10mm wrench handy for this. It happed about 8 years into owning the truck and living in a remote area, it almost never happened - maybe every 3-4 months. I took a job for 6 months in Orlando and it started happening almost weekly. I'd be in traffic and when starting from a red light, I'd have almost no throttle and had to head to the curb.... frustrating. The dealer wanted to start replacing stuff (note the surprise on my face). I honestly don't remember if/what the 'check engine code' was... sorry.

The problem and solution, (without the long version): It happened more in Orlando because when I did some more-aggressive braking in traffic, the trans fluid would rush to the front of the transmission and some sensor, somewhere, thought I was low/out of fluid. It would let the truck run and move, but just barely. Taking to a 'speedy oil' place - having them fill the transmission completely solved the problem. If only the truck had a dipstick, I wouldn't have replaced the throttle body and a few other things, before figuring out the problem.

Anyway, I hope this might help someone else who comes across this situation.
