I use the Toyota app to start my truck every now and again, but when i open the door while the truck is running the truck shuts off. Any idea why? Is that a safety feature?

Sadly it's normal for the push to start trucks. No way around it.

We've had this discussion here a couple of times, and pretty much everyone hates it. But yes, Toyota calls this a safety feature.

That and I'm on my phone, so patience for searching through threads is limited. But, thank you @SpyderRC for responding without the "use the search" feature. You saved me some time.

Ya know....I see this all the time....”use search, already discussed”.....on this as well as other forums I frequent.

If everyone just used the search button, this forum would be really boring. As long as this forum has been around, I am sure there are very few topics regarding the Toyota Tundra that have not already been discussed.

Why not.....if you do not want to contribute to the OP’s question, just move on.

Not to mention the search bar is a total pain, you get a bunch of loosely related information to pour over, too time consuming for people who consider their time to be valuable. Its much more productive to ask a question and receive a quick and (hopefully) concise response from someone who either knows already, or found out by searching in their free time previously. Now, I have to go start another mpg thread in spite of all the complainers:stirthepot:

And then you find a year old thread after searching and the responses are “why are you bumping this old of a thread “.
